“Enjoyed our stay and have only good things to say”

We stayed in a junior suite which was immaculate with lots of lovely small touches. The hotel has the most amazing stained glass windows with a beautiful 'vintage' bar area. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel staff were exceptional from restaurant recommendations to arranging birthday treats.

“Good value but could be better!”

Stayed here in February and had a good holiday but there are a few things that could be improved. The restaurant gets very crowded and this is not helped by large tables being reserved for the various sports teams which stay in the hotel. Some of these teams treat the hotel more like a hostel, wandering in & out of the restaurant in the evenings still in their sports wear. There was only one salt and pepper pot in the whole restaurant which was frustrating and one had to collect your own cutlery.
The advantage of having theses teams in the hotel does mean that the swimming pool is quiet as they are out during the day training. We also liked the roof terrace which has sun all day and is never busy.
The cleaning of the apartment was good but more often than not was not attended to until early afternoon ( & not at all on Fridays or Sunday's which we thought was odd)
We had a sea view room which I would recommend and a high floor would give the best views.
We loved La Caleta village, the bar next to the hotel serves good tapas and has wifi. It was easy to walk along to Del Duque and very pleasant. For the money this is a good value hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for high floor ( top floor sea view rooms cost extra).

“Great location, staff and value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 March 2012

We stayed here at the end of January 2012. The transit time from the airport by coach was 2 hrs 20 mins – we were last off the coach. Not 20 mins as advertised. We also waited 40 mins at the airport for the coach to leave.

Very easy and friendly booking in process, Thank you July for the upgrade – because they were fully booked – to room 361, the best room in the hotel. Next best room is 261. Both have two balconies, one overlooking the sea and one overlooking the mountain. Rooms *01-*19 have sea views, rooms *20-*32 have views of a vacant plot and private residences, rooms *33-*52 have mountain views and rooms *53-*61 have mountain views and get early sun,

Safe hire is 3 euro a day plus a refundable deposit of 10 euros, The room was cleaned everyday except Friday and Sunday,

The sea is opposite and it’s a short walk along the beach to El Duque, There is a taxi rank and bus stop outside and a supermarket next door.
.
If you turn right out of the main entrance and take the first road on the left and follow it round to the right, there is an area with restaurants. If you turn right out of the main entrance and carry on straight there is an area with cafes,

We loved it and will definitely be going back next January

“Excellent”

We stayed during 3rd week of January 2012. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent in both terms of choice and quality. My partner had his birthday during our stay and the staff left a bottle of Cava wine and a note for us in our room on this day. The hotel is in a great quiet location with a regular and cheap bus service to the busier Los Christianos.
