I stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed it.
The location is very picturesque, however there is not a lot to do in Badacsonytomaj, which is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Personally I think that if you are here, theres not a lot to do in the town so you might as well stay somewhere prettier and a little bit further out.
I wouldn't recommend the location for more than a couple of days however, while we really enjoyed the time, it was very much sitting relaxing rather than actually doing anything in particular. Also, the lake is very silty and reedy, not something im used to but people were swimming in it as though it was a gorgeous sea, worth a swim just for the experience though!
The main thing about this hotel that we enjoyed though was the friendly service. We felt so welcome, even though there was a huge language barrier, we never felt like we were causing them trouble. The food in the restaurant was delicious, as was the white wine (much recommended on a hot evening or lunchtime!).
There was one member of staff who spoke perfect English, and another who was reasonable, but it was a bit of an effort. (Just as a warning to brush up on any German (or indeed Hungarian) learnt at school, I'm not someone who expects the world to speak English!)
The room we stayed in was nice and comfortable, a bit of a small bathroom and not many extras.
Breakfast was included in the price for us I think, can't remember paying any more for it anyway!
Overall a very nice hotel in a very pretty part of Hungary, and at a good price.
