“Terrible motel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

Do not stay here you can't secure the windows there is no lock so anyone can get in your apt.
The blankets had cigarette burns in them there was dirt on the mattress but thankfully no trace of bedbugs.
The rooms are not quiet as adverstised there are loud noises and you can hear people outside speaking loud as ever because the walls are paper thin.
Save your money rooms are 80$ here and worth about 10$.
One of the worst places I've ever stayed.

“Return customers who will never return again”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

We have stayed at this motel various times over the last 35 years, 5 years ago having been our last stay there until my husband and I stopped there on Thanksgiving weekend 2011, and were very shocked to see how this place has deteriorated. Besides housekeeping issues such as only having one towel and no bathmat; the bedspread had a large hardened dark spot - looked like chocolate glaze from a doughnut, the grey carpet was EXTREMELY stained and the chairs were from the 60's or 70's with what's left of the original upholstery on them also stained very badly. The room was very hot & muggy when we entered, and smelled like some kind of powdery cleaner had been used to mask a previous odor - the combined smell was not good. We opened the door to try and cool the room off and air it out, then noticed that the window could not be locked. After several trips back and forth to the front desk to take care of all the other things, this was the final straw - we were not willing to stay in a room that was not secure. The front desk person assured us that it was a very safe place, but when he offered a full refund, we quickly took it and left. The young man at the front desk tried to help us each time we went to the office, but we both felt that he was trying to hurry up and make us happy so he could go back to whatever (maybe TV or video game) he was doing in the back room - we both felt like we were bothering him. He seemed to have a "whatever" attitude - said he was not the owner and had only worked there for 6 months. We told him that they were grossly overcharging for the room ($80) - half of that would have been too much. It seems like the property is being "used up" and proper maintenance is definitely not a concern to the owners. We have tried to support this "mom and pop" business through the years, and feel bad to say it, but will definitely NOT return here ever again.

“Advertises clean rooms...I don't think so!”

Made a reservation one month before, they could not confirm. Asian staff spoke broken english at best. Very unprofessional.
Very old building, carpets stained, room smelled horrible. I did not stay, had to ask for a refund.
Could not have stayed in such a run down unkept room. I would not recommend to anyone!

“Looking forward to a hot bath after bicycling for 100K”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2010

After cycling for 100K I was very much looking forward to a hot soaking bath. The bathtub was old and had big pock marks and the faucet stuck out 2 inches from the tub surround. There was one large dead bug on the floor in the bathroom and one live one. The walls were so thin I had to run the air conditioner to drown out the noise as it sounded like the parking lot was in my room. I was so tired I convinced myself the long black hair I found in the bed was the cleaning lady's so I could at least sleep without freaking myself out! I guess for $68.00 a person should not expect much more. This town could definitely use a Holiday Inn Express. The beds were very hard and the pillows had to be stacked together to feel like you had anything to sleep on. After seeing the cleanliness of the room I was afraid to try the free continental breakfast.
