I could not fault this lovely place. I agree with all the good things said about it and add: It is great for off-season: there is a large downstairs sitting room with books and magazines for the guests and Pat built a huge log fire for us. After a cold day out we loved not having to hang around the bedrooms and could have stayed all evening round the fire.
Also instead of coffee and tea in the bedrooms we had 24 access to the dining room for drinks and biscuits.
There is a great pub for eating in a few doors away - turn right on leaving, 100 yards downhill - can't remember the name but Pat will tell you.
Rathdrum is a charming village. Again as it was off-season the streets were quiet and parking was easy.
We were 3 women and found the 3-bed bedroom for large enough for us.
