La Giara is a wonderful B&B not far from the center of Nicolosi. The rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable. Its location is perfect if you want to climb the Etna or to see the cities and the natural beauties of northeastern coast of Sicily.
In addition to this, there is the lovely host Patrizia. She made our stay in Nicolosi a wonderful experience, always willing to give us advice about cultural events, places to visit and restaurants. Her kindness really makes you feel sad when it’s time to leave.

La Giara is perfectly located for a trip up Mount Etna. But Catania, the Alcantara Gorge, the tourist trap of Taormina and the sandy beaches are also within easy reach. The town of Nicolosi itself is not really worth a visit, though there are some reasonable restaurants, trattorias and pizzerias.
The great attraction of La Giara is its host, Patrizia. She never tires of giving very valuable advice on where to go, how nto get there, what not to miss, where to park the car and whate to eat. She is is gem!

The B&B was very clean. Lilliana was very kind and hospitable. Everything was prepared to perfection. We were also let put our car in the drive-in. The area was also very quiet and relaxing. We recommend this B&B to everyone because you would surely be satisfied.

All the best they write about La Giara and Patrizia is true. She is a fantastic woman who makes staying at La Giara an experience for life. She cares about you before, during and after your stay. As an example: yesterday Norway was experiencing a terrible terror attack with bombing and slaughtering of so many young people. Just this morning Patrizia called me to hear if we were all right. We will for sure be back to visit La Giara and wonderful Patrizia :-)
