Perhaps as a Hilton Honours Gold VIP member and it being my birthday, the service I received was bias, but it was excellent. I love the Hilton brand and try to use them for business and pleasure - so maybe it's me who's bias!!
But the Customer Service from Nevadah, Ingrid and particularly Angela on the HH Desk was first class. My request for daily bottled water was easily dealt with and Ms Murray in Housekeeping with her team took great care servicing our room and ensuring our needs were met. I had a fabulous week's sleep - high quality bed, Posturepedic Encore720 plush pillowtop. Returned back to the UK and brough something similar as a Xmas pressie to me :)
A big thanks to Housekeeping for the birthday wishes pinned to the door coupled with the surprise arrival of a bottle of Champagne on my birth date :)
A huge thanks to Ashton Hylton, who's beachside waiting service was first rate, he found my lost blackberry mobile and cheers to Ms Gray who coordinated its return.
Had friends visiting and the day pass was $85, start/end timings could be better but overall ok value for money.
No complaints about the all inclusive drinks - Wray & Nephew white rum with Ting is my fave and was constantly on tap.
The food was varied and plentiful, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner options at Fresh restaurant.
An absolute must is the Jerk food on the lunchtime menu at Seaside Grill, truly authentic
Dinner at the onsite Italian, Luna Di Mare was bland and boring and why no female waiting staff. Menu choices did not reflect Northern Italian cuisine, very disappointing.
Did a 1 day's beginner's golf lesson at Cinnamon Hill Golf course $140. Didn't really take to it, despite expert tuition from Seebert Walker, the onsite golf pro.
I normally spend my JA holidays at Discovery Bay, Ochi or Kingston where the JA dollar rules. Very much, the preferred currency in MoBay is US dollars, make sure you bring plenty. Whilst the airport and MoBay town centre is only a short drive, US$30 was the going rate, for a single trip - rather pricey for my likely, but since the hotel's all inclusive,
Next visit will try external food options at The Houseboat, Seahorse Grill and Mobay Yacht Club at Freeport (complimentary pickup)
Ron Daly, general manager, you have a solid team behind you - supporting the Hilton brand.
I definitely will be visiting again.
For all you JWN white rum drinkers:
Duty free is not necessarily the cheapest for your JWN needs, but:
At MoBay Duty Free it was $12 for 1Ltr and $35 for Grey Goose Citron
A roadside Total garage was selling 200ml for JA$302 and 750ml for JA$1123.40
At the Mega Mart, downtown supermarket, they were selling 200ml Appleton at JA$454.95
