A third time visit to Valerie’s in BdB and because the value for money is so excellent. We have seen no increase in price for the 3 years we’ve been coming and the house is as charming and warm as ever. The food is still as excellent with freshly squeezed oranges for breakfast and the largest and most delicious boiled eggs you have ever seen. We eat in every night because the food is delicious and wine is provided in the price of the meal. The ski was good and only after our third year, do we feel that we have skied all that is within our capability. Perhaps Val will move to the Alps for our next years ski trip.

I posted a review 2 years ago, and have happily returned a few times and at different times of the year, both for the ski and alpine walking scenes; my opinion is unchanged and reflects all the other recent reviews. The town of Bagneres is slowly being done-up and facilities generally improved and is a most attractive and jolly destination. The purpose of this review is to report that Valerie's does now accept credit and debit cards via PayPal from this year.

During our recent tour of the Pyrenees we stayed with Valerie in her typical french town house. We were greeted with cold beer and hot tea- most welcome after a long journey through the mountains. Our room was very comfortable and Valerie was an excellent host telling us about things to do in the area including the amazing spa at Aquensis which soothed away the aches of a long car journey. The town was very busy and lively as the Tour De France was passing through. The night life continued until late which was a bit noisy for us early to bed oldies but I imagine that normally the square would be tranquil. Breakfasts were delicious and featured free range eggs and delicious pastries. This stop on our travels had great character- very different to bland hotels.

Just returned back to the UK after a week stay at Val's.
This is the second time we've stayed and it proved just as great as the first time:
Big enough house to have space; small enough to be cosy.
Fabulous food! We ate in every evening as Val's cooking, and the local foods were wonderful.
Lovely, traditional town
Very handy for skiing at La Mongie - 25 minute east, and picturesse, drive.
No doubt we will be staying there next January!!
