“Another superb stay at School Cottages”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

We have just got back from yet another brilliant short stay at School Cottages, this is our 3rd time and as always we were greeted by a glowing log fire & tea & bicuits, before being shown our fabulous room.
This is by far the best B&B we have ever stayed in, and the breakfast here is second to none...superb. Big thank you to Tim and Nigel who are the perfect hosts, see you again in the summer. S&P Farningham Kent.

“Fantastic Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

My Partner and I stayed for four days during the half term holiday, to say the stay was brilliant is an understatement. We were made to feel so welcome, the rooms were really comfy, stylish and immaculate. The Breakfast every morning was wonderful, home made jams every morning along with eggs from the hen's in the garden. The Reccomendations for the food at night were great and for the cider even better! We were both sad to leave and are already looking forward to paying another visit.

Room Tip: Pets were allowed in the self-catering cottage next door, however in the bed and breakfast they are...

“Too good to be true? Well no actually!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

We booked our accomodation nearly a year in advance as we were going to a family celebration in the village and wanted to be within walking distance of the venue. We thought the reviews were probably too good to be true but are delighted to say that they were fully justified. We could not have been made to feel more welcome throughout our brief stay. All private rooms are beautifully equiped as is the guests' lounge.Breakfast was served in the conservatory and could not be faulted. Whenever we came back to the cottages we were offered coffee or tea and relaxed conversation. You could not expect the garden to be at its best in November but there was still plenty to see including the ducks ,chickens and goats.

We felt we could not have bettered our choice of accomodation and we will certainly return for a longer visit - as long as we can get in !!

“Fabulous room, superb hosts, couldn't fault it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

I can't faul School Cottages in any way. We stayed at the end of September, and had a fabulous room which was large and had a very nice en-suite. Tim and Lisa looked after us a treat. We loved the gardens, and the ducks, chickens, goats, and tortoises. Breakfast was cooked to order, and lovely. Everything was superb, and the nicest freshest smelling linens I've ever smelt. Great value. We'll be back. We didn't look insite the self-catering cottage, but if that's fitted out as nicely as the main B&B house then it will be lovely. We used the park and ride into Bath - couldn't be simpler. And lots of places around - our favourite is the Wheatsheaf at Combe Hay.

Room Tip: The one with the super kingsize bed is roomy, and away from any road noise.

“2011 comfort on the Inside, middle ages charm outside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2011

Car is required. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed School Cottages as our touring base for the sights outside of bath. Averbury, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Wells, Glastonbury and the cheddar gorge.

Best B&B breakfast of the 20 we've stayed at in this trip to England. Fresh eggs from their chickens, homemade jams from their fruit, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.

The country pubs they reccomended were fantastic.
