“There was mold in the bathroom, but the wiew was spectaculare!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2011

Well, The location and the wiew was incredible! There was mold in the bathroom, not quite satisfying... I think that the hotel, with over 500 rooms is to much to handle for the personal, and the persons in the lobby were not that very nice, they gave us a key to a room where the already lived a coupple!!! The restaurant was not good at all.

“In one word - Relaxing!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 April 2010

I went there whit my sister and did´nt really had none expectations. We found a last minute for a good price and was longing for the sun. And the sun shined every day, some clouds, but they usually never stayed for a long time. But you should be aware of that it´s very very windy.
The hotel was amazing! Wonderfull wiev and the rooms then.. We had the luck to have a room whit sun the whole afternoon so when it was to windy on the beach/pool area we just stayed at "home" =) There is a lot of stairs wherever you want to go, but next to the stairs there usually was a runway.
The pools are amazing!
One is at the pool bar and are more "livefull". The other one are more for the ones who want´s to relax and hade a lovely wiev at the same time.
The hotell manager was not friendly to us.. all he did was speaking germany even though I sad over and over again, speak english!
But all the others members of the staff, both in reception and cleaning ladies were vert nice and always said "hola".
We did not eat once at the hotel so that I cant comment, but you must try the sea food paella at the locals, its wonderfull!
Overall, everything, every store, restaurant and so on, can speak Germany. So if you are from Germany, congrats to you.. ;)
I would really recommend both the hotel and the country if you´re looking for a nice relaxing time in the sun whit good food. It´s no party place. I also think familys whit children wolud like it. Many places for children to play at.

“Tired, old hotel - lots of old Germans on "all inclusive" - only the beach saved our holiday!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 March 2010

We knew the hotel was big - but this is huge! No privacy as you will wake up everytime your neigbour flushes the toilet..... very badly isolated - as hotels often are - but this was extreme - especially if you don't have a apartment in the top floor. We got lucky and got to change from ground to top floor - and that "saved our sleep" for the holiday.
The rooms we had (two) in same building - are sad, old, and worn down - badly in need of a serious renovation - not this "fixing" which has been done - some paint here and there There were ants in the roof and in the kitchen cabinets - furniture from the year the hotel was new - old, stained and quite disgusting. Large terrace - nice! But only 2 chairs - for a 4 persons apartment. Spacious apartment if you are 2 - for family of 4 it felt crowded. Bedroom is oversized compared to the rest. Pool areas - we only used the one belonging to Maxorata part of the hotel - as that was the only heated pool -area felt crowded - old germans do not like children playing and making noize in the pool.... small details - like the pool tables - dirty - old and disgusting - why not change theese? .. All inclusive is nice I guess if thats what you want - if you do not want all inclusive this hotel is the first we've been to where you cannot buy anything without a ticket first from the reception. Should have been an option to buy som food from the pool bar or softdrinks etc. The hotel shop is only a souvenir shop - but they do have about 10 bread each morning so hurry..... prices totally out of range! There is a large SPAR shop but that is quite a walk - about 15 min each way - and takes a bit of planning and carrying of large water bottles... Hotel entertainment - evenings - it felt like beeing at the old peoples center somewhere in Germany - and here too - no drinks if you don't get at ticket first.... Stuffed air at the entertainment lounge - usj!
The walk to the beach is far longer than it said in our brochure - you need to cross a 4 lane quite road - and the traffic there is quite "heavy"!
From the road there is another 10-15 minutes walk to the nearest access road to the beach. The beach however is - as expected - totally beautifull! - You need however to find your special spot - because - be aware there is quite a few naked germans? here too.....
Some nice restaurants along the main road - can recommend the italian one with red/white table cloths :) The other ones are ok for pizzas and french fries - and thats it.....
Jandia is a beautiful place - do rent a car if you have some extra days - do not waste a day at the OASIS Park - lots of sad animals in a worn down park!

“Fab holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2009

We stayed here for one week all inclusive. this was our first AI holiday and it was great. The place was spotless, the room had a great balcony overloking the sea. There is a main road to cross followed by some scrubland to get to the beach but it was very easy to get to. we thought the food was really good lots of choice really fresh and lots of good puds. The snacks were not so good dry sarnies were about it. We had no problems with noise at night. The entertainment was ok but not in English seems to be catered for Germans or French but our two boys aged 12 and 16 at the time really enjoyed it all. There is a street of shops and restaurants a short walk from the hotel although the souvenirs are very expensive and there is not much choice. My only disappointment was the fact that the sea is very cold and at times very rough not being very strong swimmers my son and i could not go in every day ,there is a very strong undercurrent and even big men were being knocked off their feet i would be very wary of taking very young children into the water or even letting them play near the waters edge. all in all we cant wait to go back a lovely relaxing break 9/10

“Loved the Sunrise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 May 2008

Stayed on self catering basis from May 10th - 17th.
Asked for sea view and got it. Staff very friendly and spoke excellent English. Mainly German tourists in this area but absolutely no problem as we found them all to be very polite and friendly. The restaurants down on the seafront in old Morro Jable were amazing for the quality of fresh fish and great value for money. Take a tip from us and try and hire a 4 x 4 car to get out and explore the secluded beaches - they are so worth it when you get there!!! Very nudist friendly too so strip off and enjoy, but don't forget to apply lots of sun cream. It can be deceptively hot in the stone wind breaks that you find on the beaches and you wouldn't want to burn those 'special places'.
