booked for the iberostar park hotel on the 5th of nov when we got there they upgraded us, to the palace and from that moment no one could do enough for us for 2 weeks. all brands of drinks by the bottle or draught and waiter service . room cleaned every day with little touches like rose petals and chocalate on the bed. animation team were great max my 20 months old son loved vlado and smiley the dog. mainly germans in the hotel who on the whole were very friendly.nobody pushed in but saying that the only time you had to que was at the show cooking section in the restaurant . will be staying at an iberostar hotel again the only thing that was not free that i used was the tennis . it was 8euro dont know why they charge because most all inclusives are free for tennis thanks to ray for playing me on his days of . best hotel we have stayed at . it was 2 weeks of luxury great atmosphere entertainment and service.

“Beware family rooms!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

We are currently at this great location hotel. Service, food - 5 out of 5 for this style of holiday. Unfortunately the vast majority of family rooms come with a view of the main road, noise too. Not ruining the holiday, but a bit of a dampener for sure. We booked owing to the practicality of inter-connecting family rooms, but also described on the Internet as having "fantastic sea or pool views". Not true. Misleading I would say.
Thomas Cook should know this and point it out to us on booking. They kept silent. I suspect the UK Thomas Cook bookings play second fiddle to the big Germany book of business....?

So, instead of getting the kids to bed, sipping a sun-downer, overlooking the ocean, we sit on the veranda, watching the lorries and cars pass by the busy main south-north road (a bit of sea to the left!)

My dad paid for us to come out as his 70th birthday treat, and he's a little embarrassed. not fair really as having the sea or pool aspect would have made it a fantastic 70th for him, rather than a "nice one, shame about the room views".

Of course, I've asked re other room availability. No. Full with other families, and I can see why - they're great (envy).

Anyway, other than that, great. Be sure to ask for a sea / pool view GUARANTEED.

I WOULD recommend this, if the expectations re rooms hadn't been so mis-aligned with reality.

(room 3133/4 FYI, Thomas Cook).

“The happiest staff I have ever seen!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

Have just come back after a week's vacation. I would definately return. Management need a pat on the back. I don't know what they pay the staff but they all seem very happy, and will greet you when you pass them by.There was no shortage of sunbeds by the pool, and yes a few of the beds had been reserved even though there are signs everywhere, but it did not matter. The animation team were exceptional. Angelo the team leader hurt himself badly during the opening of the 'starlight express' show, when one of his skates broke, but after a short interlude, returned and carried on with true professionalism. The food was very good and varied. The quality of the meat and fish was exceptional. I can honestly say that i did not notice a heavy German presence, although my partner was the only non german player when he played volleyball with them for at least 4 hours a day! He found them great.

Room Tip: rooms situated on the curve of the building, slightly bigger.

“Little Germany”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

The Hotel it self is very clean and reception staff helpful, but don't go here unless you can speak German! The Hotel is 98% German, this includes their food, entertainment and lifestyle! Towels on the sunbeds at 7am! Germans were ignorant, arrogant and rude. They have definetly taken over this area of Fuerteventura, even in the Town the Locals all speak German. The Old Town is slightly more Spanish, but if it's Spain you want avoid this area and Hotel. We love Spain, the language and the lifestyle, but we got little Germany, you would never have known that this was meant to be a Spanish Island. Very oppressive atmosphere at the Hotel, spent most of our time in our room. Diving trips were a no go, because they had no one who could speak english, as all diving staff were German speaking! Food wasn't too bad, if you don't mind saukerkraut for breakfast. Tv in room only has Sky news in English otherwise all in German. Entertainment even including Bingo & Darts was called out in German! Evening entertainment also in German so waste of time. Germans seen giving backhanders to Staff to keep them sweet. Beach is too far from Hotel if you have any kind of mobility problems and when you get there the sunbeds are tired parasols were dangerous and you have to pay for these. Germans naked all along beach so be warned! Spa extra, so are some drinks. Best avoid here, wish we had never gone, and certainly will never return here. Very angry and disappointed not at all relaxing.

Room Tip: No upgrade available when you get there, sea & pool view rooms were booked for a Year in advance...

“Quality and Fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2011

Being a regular visitor to Fuerteventura, we looked for somewhere new to stay. Having looked previous at the Iberostar Palace, when we drove around or when people got dropped of our Airport Transfer bus (Thomas Cooke). we fancied to have a go at this hotel.
The first impression was a good one, everything was clean, staff was freindly and did during the whole stay [14 days in September 2011] a great job.
We went full inclusive and the food and drinks are quality, nice cocktails, and quality soft drinks, beers, mixers and wines.
The shows of the extremely hard working animation team who take very much effort in entertaining in all the languages who are there on holiday, are great fun, not Broadway but deffiantly good fun.
We hired a car for a week, not in the hotel but at Cicar in Jandia, very good service, clean cars (not the newest but in good condition) and a very sharp price as always.
We will defiantly go back to the palace, the only little remarks is the distance to the shopping centre.[cannot be helped taxi is only € 3.50 to the centre]
And the food is out if this world if you are a fish lover, if not than it's great food {and lets not forget you are not in Brittain but in a different culture, but that is the reason why we didn't go to Cornwall or Brighton]
The other remark is, if you are looking for a Brittish Hotel, English entertainment, have a problem with Germans, than you are on the wrong site of the isle, you will be better of in Corraleljo, with his Brittish nightclubs and entertainment.
If you look for a clean [gets cleaned 24/7] hotel, with great standards, fantastic staff than this is your place

Room Tip: Depends where you looking for, we had a room in the 3000 series, view is crap but very quiet. there...
