Fantastic location and everything supplied. Paid before I got there and never touched the wallet till after I left. All meals and snacks supplied and even though its designed for health and weight loss the food was excellent you could get seconds, totally up do you. Staff also made great efforts for those with dietary issues or even just didn't like certain food items.

Running waterways and stunning scenery all through the property and easy walk to the national park next door if their 3 long walks weren't enough. Lots of quiet places to hide and read with chairs around the dozens of open landscaped areas and blankets supplied if you want to just go sit somewhere else. Massive Gym open 24 hours and outdoor pool and massive spa with undercover areas.

While I wasn't the usual sort of guest they have there most of the staff did their best to make me and everyone feel good and have a great time. Activities went from 6am till 7pm everyday (for the 5 days I stayed). Rooms were huge with great a/c and made up every day to "new guest" standard. Almost no attempts to up sell services and no attempts at all to up sell products.

While a bit of walking is required to navigate the place there is no need to be fit to go. I am far from fit and found it an excellent way to recharge and learn about fitness. The other guests there when I was there ranged from a semi athlete to the unfit to retirees. Don't put it off thinking you have to be fit to go. If you are looking to start getting fit (or are wanting at taste test of different fitness techniques) this is the perfect place to try some of various fitness styles (yoga, Chi Gong, meditation and other more general workout styles).

This place is not a "spa" those looking for water in their room and refrigeration are missing the point. The camp Eden experience is about opening yourself up, emotionally, physically and spiritually, and hopefully, upon leaving you will find more clarity, more inner peace and more quality out of your busy life. I've met high business achievers here, working mums, young singles, tough professionals, all with one goal in mind, to relax, to learn and to enrich their lives and their diet. It's not hippy triply or kumbayah, just a regular group of guests who need a nudge back on the right path. You will leave feeling relaxed, rested and refreshed, and you will have come away having learnt a great deal if you have the right attitude to begin with. Whilst golden door is about pampering yourself and not doing much inner work, camp Eden provides a bit more work, but the results are greater from a personal level. The facilities and the staff are very good, and all the optional extras, classes, educational seminars, games, fitness, challenges are there for your choosing. I've done the 7 day program twice, the14 day program once and sent my friends and family to Eden and I can recommend it to you too - as long as you are looking for a health retreat and not a "spa", as this is so much more than massages (but it has them too)

“Camp = Eden”

I booked in for 5 days was well over $2000.00, as a single that $400.00 per day. The rooms were comfortable, no refridgeration, stickers say you can't drink the water, yet there is no water supplied. The eating area (you can't call it a restaurant) is what one would envisage a school camp, food is basic slopped up, home cooked, ambiance zero sitting on pews, bells ring to alert you it is dinner time.

Staff were so, so, gym facility huge room but quite basic. The grounds are very basic like one would expect from a farm stay, I elected to embark on a long walk alone quickly realising my risk of snakes or other perril.

Is a great place if you have money to burn and have not seen alternate places for $400.00 per night, staff were totally uninterested in my disappointment and refused to supply drinking water to room. There are much better alternatives out there. I booked the facility believing it was well researched, I almost cried when I first arrived, no Golden Door.

“An amazing place to relax, re-energise and refocus”

I spent 5 amazing days at Camp Eden and didn't want to leave! The facilities are fantastic and the setting is absolutely stunning. Each day there is a program of activities for you to get involved in (if you want to) ranging from yoga, meditation etc to more cardio intensive classes. Chi Gong every morning was a perfect way to start the day. The food was amazing and plentiful! Escaping from the day to day world (there's no TVs, DVDs, magazines, papers etc) was bliss! The staff are great and there's an extensive selection of body treatments etc for you to choose from - I highly recommend having a 'Kahuna Bodywork' massage with Margot. I stayed in one of the Eden Sanctuary cabins which are all newly renovated and have a beautiful view over the valley.

“Amazing, life changing experience!”

I did the 5 day program & loved it! Wished I had done the 7 days though as everyone else stayed on! Great group of people & amazing staff! Much preferred this to my previous Golden Door stay! Far more focused on personal growth & outdoor activities with great adventures thrown in, which I loved. Plus they offered an amazing evening program of educational seminars so I really felt it was fantastic value! Worth that extra spend for sure, in my view!
