“Quiet, Comfortable and safe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2010

Accommodation is serviced apartments. I stayed in 1 beddie which was spacious. Fully equipped kitchen, neat and tidy. Set in lovely grounds all apartments have views of the swimming pool and canal. also available half court tennis and BBQ. This quiet location is close to all theme parks and Harbour Town and an easy commute to Surfers if you're looking for night life. Bus stop nearby and shopping centre with supermarket and restraunts only 5 minute walk. There is free secure parking and although reception is not 24 hour your key will allow access to the foyer. External access to all stairwells require key access after hours too - I also noticed security personnel running checks at night so always felt safe. The Gold Coast airport shuttle also drops off and picks up from here making Pelican Cove resort very accessible.

If you are looking for a romantic getaway or looking for big nights out then this might not be the place for you, but if you are looking for a family friendly place or just looking for a relaxing break you couldn't go wrong staying here.

“Below Average”

On arrival everything seemed normal; the 2 bed apartment was spacious enough for two adults and 2 young adults. Unfortunely through the second day of our stay a terrible odour was permeating from the bathroom, sewage type smell. I brought it to management’s attention - nothing was done! When discussing it with management they inferred that there was no smell, an insult when we could all smell it and visitors as well. They also suggested we not use the bathroom and use only the ensuite - why? when we had paid for a two bedroom two bathroom apartment. This also negated there that there was no smell. No discount was offered.
It tarnished our holiday slightly and wished that some acknowledgement or recompense was offered.

“Perfect for families! Home away from home!”

We love Pelican Cove. Dec 2007 was our third time staying here, and we are planning to go back in 2010. The rooms are very spacious, the kids have plenty of room to do their own stuff. Two pools and two spas are fantastic. The location is superb - a quiet riverfront property only 10 minutes from MovieWorld, 10 minutes from SeaWorld, and without all the hustle and bustle of Surfers. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

If you are looking for high class well-appointed rooms, then Pelican Cove is not your place. But if you are a family with young children looking for spacious rooms with simple, comfy furnishings, full kitchen and laundry, at a great price, then Pelican Cove is perfect!

Stayed at the Pelican Cove Resort for 5 nights. We found the resort to be peacefull and quiet ( It was just before Schoolies) Lovely Pools and BBQ area. Rooms ok size and clean.Service from Laurie was great.Resort was very well maintained. Would reccomend this for a family or if you dont want to get caught up with the party of Surfers Paradise. Car park is free but a tight squeeze.Close to local shopping centre and Sea World. Would go back again

“Lovely quiet little resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 May 2009

Our large family group stayed at Pelican Cove last november. We got a good deal through coke vouchers (now unavailable), but you can find deals for pay 5, stay 7.

We had 3 two bedroom apartments. 2 apartments were of a good standard with neat furnishings and were clean. The other apartment had furnishings of a lower standard, but was still clean. I think the apartments are privately owned so the standards do vary a bit.

Each apartment had everything you need, inc full kitchen with dishwasher and microwave. They were air conditioned in the lounge area. There were 2 bathrooms, great for the kids and adults. In one room we had a nice queen size bed with built in robe and ensuite. The kids had 2 single beds in the other room with built in robes also. There was cable tv (limited channels), but it had nickleodeon for the kids.

We will definitely stay there again when we go to the gold coast. In fact, we stayed at the seaworld resort for 4 nights as well as there, and our kids said they would prefer to stay at Pelican Cove because of the rooms and the pool!!!!!

There was a nice balcony area with chairs and table. All the apartments overlooked the pool area and nearby canal, which was very nice. There was a good size heated pool and spa, and another smaller pool which wasn't heated. There was a double bbq area and plenty of tables/chairs around the area. There is a small jetty onto the canal, and my son sat and fished there. Nice half size tennis court too.

If you want night life I don't recommend this resort as it is a bit far away at biggera waters. But it is very quiet, and the staff who run the place are very nice and helpful. They can help book tours too. There is a bus stop nearby, but we hired a car. The resort is fairly close to Harbour town shopping centre and the theme parks, so you don't have to drive through the city and lots of traffic. It's only about 50 metres to the broadwater and there is a long walkway along the water, and it's great for morning walks (very beautiful)

There is underground car parking which is very secure, you need your key to access it. We had no trouble with our parks as there was one for every room.
