This is our 2nd visit to the Castelli, something in all our years of travelling that we haven't done before, revisited a hotel. On arrival we were given a warm greeting by Spiros, Anastasia, and Maria. Spiros will have a short chat with you about the hotel, your room, breakfast times etc. Rooms are comfortable but basic, but more importantly clean. There is an extra charge for air con, fridge, and safe, but this is pretty standard practice these days. Breakfast is cotinental type, cereal's, breads, cheese, ham etc, omelettes, home made jam, marmalade & cake & greek yogurt plus tea coffee juice etc. Eat indoors, or on sunny mornings on the roof terrace overlooking the pool. The pool & surrounding areas are immaculate, and there is a bar here that serves drinks & tasty snacks during the day. This is also where the weekly barbecue is held, and cooked to perfection by Spiros, and the food just keeps on arriving. There is also a well stocked bar in the hotel which is run by the lovely Gabby. The beach is a pleasant five minute stroll away, as are the nearest tavernas right on the beach. Head in the opposite direction to Agios Sostis, and more fabulous tavernas. Ask Maria or Spiros about places to visit, and they will tell you the best one's, authentic Greek one's, and one's popular with their guests. This is a Thomson small & friendly hotel, and with many guests visiting year on year, I think that's a perfect billing for the Castelli. See you all again next year.
