The studio appartments are near to the main strip but down a dark country road so a little unsafe at night but quite pleasant during the day. The rooms are basic which is expected of a 2* but I did not think much of the facilities. The room was a little grubby & I had to clean the shower plug of hair as this had not been done & the shower started flooding. There were dead bugs in the bathroom cupboard & around the window of the front door - again I guess these areas don't fall under the cleaners job spec. I only used the fridge in the kitchenette, there was a bottle of water in there but due to the uncleanliness of the room I was unsure if it was complimentary or had just been left so I did not open it! There is a list of breakage fines on the wall which seemed abit excessive especially as it did not appear that any payment was then used to fix/replace items. For example if you stain any linen it was 30euros however although my bed linen & towels appeared clean every item had some form of stain or mark. The cleaner is supervised by a man I think is the manager/owner who appears to only speak Greek but he is quite aggressive in his actions. He would not give a boy his suitcase back on the day of departure until he paid for a broken plastic chair - he wanted 40euros but the eventually settled on 20. As we were in the middle of the block we were always out before the cleaner knocked but you MUST leave the room, we did notice after the cleaner had been both chocolate & cookies in our fridge had been eaten. My suitcase lock also broke but unsure if this is related. The redeeming feature of the studios is the pool & bar opposite. This was quite nice but as there is worker accomodation nearby the pool does get over run with PR people using the facilities. George the barman seemed friendly at first but I would be very wary of him if staying here if you are a girl & if he knocks at your door at night DO NOT ANSWER!! Due to an incident at Razis we changed to 2 other hotels before leaving Greece & can confirm there are nicer appartments in just as good location with similar ratings so my advice would be give Razis a miss as theres much better, friendlier & safer places available in Laganas!!
