We stayed in a 3 bedroom unit for 7 nights. I will start by saying the location (directly in the middle of Broadbeach Mall) is absolutely awesome, so convenient. The unit has been refurbished, so is very nice and well equipped. The beds were very very comfy, the view was fantastic, and the kitchen, loungeroom and bedrooms all a good size.

There are some isseues that annoyed us. The biggest by far was how poorly the unit had been cleaned. It was literally dirty in some areas, especially the bathrooms. Some other annoying things were no soap holders/ dishes in bathroom (so the soap just sat on bench, making it yucky), no hand towel holders (same scenario as soap), the dishwasher was partly broken (could only use one shelf), there is no pantry, so our food had to sit on bench, the foxtel remote was nigh on impossible to use as it was so old (buttons did not work), the sliding door lock to balcony was broken (one person trapped for a while, which was kinda funny).

They are all small things that got on out nerves, but it would not stop us from coming back, as it is so hard to beat the location, and as I said the unit is really nicely renovated.

We will come back again - but insist it is cleaned properly before we check in.

This review is a bit late. I stayed at the hotel in aug 2010. I had to go to the casino to play in a poker tournament. Compared to the prices to stay there, this was very affordable, spacious & close to all things in broadbeach. Recommend this to anyone.

The location of these apartments is fantastic, right in the heart of Broadbeach. Everything you need at our doorstep - groceries, cafes, restaurants, bars, beaches, little kids amusements........... They are a little tired though and could do with a makeover. Very spacious and comfortable living. Car parking was very secure but space is tight and a bit of a nightmare to park actually especially when someone else takes your alloted spot! Would stay here again though.

We have stayed at the Victoria Square Apartments twice now, once with children and once without. In general, the apartments are relatively well maintained and comfortable, however they are a little tired and could do with a bit of a makeover.

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Broadbeach, opposite the Oasis Shopping Centre with easy access to the monorail linking Jupiters Casino (if that is your thing) or the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. Many of the rooms have ocean and beach views and there are restaurants aplenty surrounding it, so you are spoiled for choice there.

The fantastic location does come with drawbacks though in terms of noise. There are a few bars and nightclubs below the apartments, which means on the weekend, it can get a bit rowdy. Suggest you go for an apartment higher up (10th floor or above) and / or an apartment facing Surfers Paradise if noise will bother you and you are staying on the weekend.

If you have 5 star taste but a 3 star budget, you would be fairly happy with the accommodation at the Victoria Square Apartments as the views from the Ocean facing rooms make you overlook the tired decor of the apartments themselves.

We will most likely stay here again, as the location, views and comfort of the apartments combined make them good value.
