“Great Views!”

My friend and I stayed in apartment 16C, which has views to the North and East (overlooking the beach).
This was in July 2010. The apartment was spacious but had tired looking furniture. The fridge and stove top burners could do with replacing. As you can see in my photos, the fridge had rust spots and the burners looked rusty and worn out. The beside table in one room was chipped and marked.

However, despite this, the fridge did do its job properly and kept our food cold, and the burners worked and so we were able to cook food easily.

Beach Haven is just minutes walk from the beach and the shops, including a supermarket, cafes, restaurants and a post office. Also just minutes walk down the road are bus stops where you can catch a bus to Surfers Paradise or any of the theme parks on the Gold Coast.
The huge Pacific Fair shopping centre is about a 10 or 15 minute walk away but you can also catch a bus there.
The nearest little shopping centre near Beach Haven has the monorail station where you can catch the monorail to Jupiter's Casino, which is also a walkable distance.

Beach Haven has several swimming pools. We stayed in winter so did not use the outdoor pools, but we did use the indoor heated pool and spar and loved them! However, I would recommend that any guest should wear rubber footwear such as flip flops/thongs in the indoor pool area as the floor seemed to always be soaking wet and slippery.

We had a generous sized balcony on which to sit and enjoy the view. It was spectacular at any time of the day or night.

The three elevators were right on the other side of our lounge room wall and we barely heard them, aside from a low whispering, wooshing sound which did not bother us at all.

Sleep quality was very good, comfortable beds and pillows, adequate curtians to block out the city lights and barely any street noise.

The apartment had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, allowing us to have one each. The bathoom floors are tiled with smooth, sleek tiles which could become hazardous when wet. A bathmat is provided and I made sure to move carefully within the large and roomy shower stall. The water pressure was a bit on and off, with a consistenly hot (but not too hot) shower difficult to achieve. My friend however said she had no problems at all in her shower, the one belonging to the main bedroom.

The excellent central location of Beach Haven, its lovely swimming pools and great views meant that we had a great stay and were able to tolerate the old stovetop burners and fridge and tired looking furniture.

I would return to this place again.

Room Tip: Ask for an aparment facing North, like our C apartment. Perhaps the view South is nice too, but look...

Location and view of beach are fantastic. Apartments are well sized but very tired in appearance. Mind you considering the distance to the beach, makes sense to have basic furniture etc. Bathrooms clean, but kitchen and blackout blinds could do with refreshing! Great coffee and restaurants literally doors away! Indoor and outdoor pools make the place weather proof! Perfect for families. Just don't expect anymore than 3 star.

I loved this place! Overlooking the beach, & round the corner from Bars Restaurants Monorail Casino etc etc. Great Views of Beach . We were on 26th Floor, but great Lifts. Efficient Check in. Large apartment two doubles two bathrooms .thick Carpets Big Flatscreen DVD Player etc. Big Kitchen & Bar, Three Piece Suite & Big Glass Dining table etc, triple aspect balcony with sun loungers. I loved having tea & toast on balcony then whipping down for early swim! Everything you need in Kitchen is there, & can entertain & cook & look at the views & drink fine wine...we did! Its even got its own mini Laundry room with Washer & Dryer. And a rubbish shute outside the room. Brilliant! And the deal we got meant it was really cheap about $75 a couple per night. Will come again for longer!! was sad to leave.

Room Tip: I think they are all probably good!

“Location and views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011 via mobile

I've been to the gold coast a dozen times and this is probably the best location I've experienced. The apartments do need a refurb but they're very clean and the staff are all fabulous. Great pool because the apartments aren't squeezed on to a small block like newer ones. Views are sublime.

“Beach Haven”

My family and I have stayed at Beach Haven 3 times in he last 2 years. The location is 100m in front of Kurrawa beach. The views from the B style units are nothing short of amazing - overlooking straight over the ocean and then at night enjoy the lights of Surfers Paradise to the left. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The resort offers 3 swimming pools, 2 tennis courts, kids games rooms and BBQ facilities that are well maintained. The staff were very friendly and made you feel like you were at a "home away from home". Restaurants are just a 1 minute stroll down Albert Avenue (handy for families with kids) and Broadbeach has such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere that you can't help but fall in love with it. I definately recommend it to families looking for great water views at a value for money price.

Room Tip: B style rooms are north facing and get the best views.
