This hotel would once have been the prize of the Gold Coast but is now a bit dated, noisy, and disorganised. It's clearly focused on the casino crowd, the executive lounge is really just a spot for the regular gamblers to visit, if you're after something a little classy this probably is not for you. Having said that, because everyone else was such a scruff we didn't feel too bad about bringing our 7 and 10 yr old boys along.
The building is undergoing some renovation which appears to have made reception a little chaotic (with 2 kids we were put on a smoking floor, but they did correct this) and there is an incredible hubub on the casino floor with a very noisy bar or two and a casino filled with people who appear not to be having the best time, but this is a bit of a characteristic of many Australian casinos I guess.
There are a lot of newer, flashier, but possibly no less noisy choices on the coast, we stayed here as we were at a conference, otherwise I think we'd choose somewhere a bit newer, a bit closer to the beach, a little less over-run with the very young drinking crowd, with in-room internet as standard, and the ability to park in an area just for hotel guests.

Dear ianduncan_qld
Thank you for visiting Jupiters and for taking the time to share your thoughts on your experience via Tripadvisor.
This year promises to be an exciting year for the property and our guests as we are injecting more than $1 million into a re-fresh of the Lobby and Atrium areas, and two of our premier restaurants. These changes are in addition to our major renovations to the property and the new theatre.
In particular, this soft refurbishment will include a refresh of the main entrance and levels three and four of the property to create a more modern look. This will include fresh paint from floor to ceiling in the Atrium and the installation of a brighter wood panelling for our main entrance, a full soft refurb of Charters Towers and a reconfiguration off Andiamo including a large west facing window for diners to enjoy the Gold Coast sunset.
I am also excited to announce that our theatre will be reopening in the first half of this year. We hope to have you enjoying the most extraordinary international touring artists, stage shows and performers the Gold Coast has ever seen in our new state of the art theatre by April 2012. The new capacity more than doubling to accommodate 2000 seated or 2300 general admission guests and the theatre viewing experience will be revolutionized through state-of-the-art technologies and architecture. Jupiters Hotel & Casino will be transformed into a world class leisure and entertainment destination with a further planned $350 million investment in the property. The redevelopment will include the addition of a new 5 star hotel, more restaurants and bars and improved entertainment and gaming facilities. We will continue to run our fantastic promotions for members so stay tuned to this space, Jupiters is exploding in 2012 and beyond !!
We believe feedback is the most important way to identify where we are performing well and where we need to improve, as we want you to have a great experience every time you visit us.
Again, thank you for providing your feedback and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Jupiters again soon.
Yours sincerely,
Jan Kalendra
