We stayed at Bel Air in December and thought it was great value with a beautiful pool area and the room was spacious and well appointed. This is not the most modern ritzy apartment but it has a good quality feel about it that we have not found in some of the more modern apartments around the same area that we have tried in recent years. For families the location is ideal because so many things are within an easy walk - shopping, the beach and great restaurants and nightclubs are all within about 10 mins walk. It has an advantage over the more central Broadbeach apartment in that it is quieter at night and you are not woken at 6am by the garbage trucks!
Overall we certainly recommend Bel Air as a good value apartment. We will certainly return.
Having read some of the other recent more negative reviews I can only assume some of them were unlucky as we could not fault the place.

the outside of the Bel Air is ok and photos make the pool appear bigger than it is. The inside of the rooms are definitely not 4 star - more like 3, maybe 3.5 at a push. Also if you are travelling with an elderly person or do not have transport it is a nightmare as it is too far away to walk places.

The Mantra Bel Air staff and facililties were excellent. The service, generosity and hospitality we received from all staff was far beyond our expectations. We had a wonderful stay, and we will certainly stay there again.

We had 1 bedroom apartment with pool view, good size apartment,friendly staff, 10 minute walk to beach and restuarants, close to pacific fair shopping centre and casino would stay there again.
