OK! We stayed here mostly for 2 reasons. Reason 1 they have a wheelchair accessible bathroom room and reason 2 we got 'Pats Mates Rates' so it was cheap.
This holiday was different from any we have taken because we took our 80+ year old Grandparents with us. Firstly we found it really difficult to find information on accessible rooms via the web, but by calling both the Mantra call center and the hotel direct all our questions were answered.
We were a bit doubtful about booking here after reading the reviews on trip advisor but the rooms were not that bad. The location was awesome if you like shopping or gambling (right opposite Pacific Fair and Jupiters Casino).
So here is our review, our room first...
We stayed in the top floor in the center tower. It is suprising how noisy the traffic is, this place is right on the highway, however after 8 nights I was used to the traffic. There was 3 of us in the room, 2 adults 1 child. Our master bedroom was very spacious and had a balcony overlooking the river and pacific fair (no balcony furniture here though). Our bathroom was TINY!!!! Shower water pressure was fine, mirror size fine, floor space...TINY!!! The second bedroom was also a good size, had 2 single beds and a small balcony. This second bathroom was more spacious than ours and also had a shower/bath, not just a shower like ours. The lounge joint dining area was fine for 3 of us but may be cramped for 4 or more, also a balcony here (ocean and mountain views), this one had furniture. The kitchen had everything we needed but we had to adjust the fridge temperature to make things cold! Also because the washer and dryer are in the kitchen, it was very noisy at night in the lounge with the washing machine going.
And the second room with the accessible bathroom...
This room was a mirror image of ours, also in the central tower but on the 2nd floor. The only difference being the master bathroom was massive, as it needs to be. There was no chair in the shower but a wooden seat that folds down off the wall (could have taken a plastic seat off the balcony if we wanted to...no view on this balcony) This room had 3 adults in it, wouldn't have wanted 4! Also, they found the couch and seats uncomfortable and spent a lot of time on their beds, which were comfy. They also thought the room was a little dated but were happy overall.
So, yes the rooms are dated, the finishing touches aren't there but the rooms were clean and had everythign we needed. We would stay here again...if the price was right :)

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay. I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with some aspects of your stay. Unfortunately, we do not have any control over the noise from the main street . However, we are pleased to hear that you were given all the information at the resort and you found the location to your satisfaction. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Mantra Bel Air again soon.
Regards
Rajesh Shetty
