We stayed in this motel for one night in August 2011. The bed was comfortable, the room was reasonably clean, and quite roomy - and it was quiet. However that is about all it had going for it. There was paint (large patches - 2-3 feet wide) peeling off the walls, the stairs up to the room (on the first floor) were very rusted all over and several layers of paint were all at various stages of peeling off.
There was lino on the floors, very basic amenities in the room (ie one very small piece of soap for two of us - no shampoo etc), furniture was very old and worn - and for the price that we paid ($115) which was for room only, it was pretty dismal and very disappointing. We only stayed there because it was an emergency situation and we needed somewhere to stay just for one night - a lot of places only take minimum of two nights - and they are twice the price per room anyway. It was hard to believe that they could charge what they did for what we got.
Booking in was another drama in itself - we rang the bell several times over a 10 minute period before anyone came near us - the place was wide open so we didn't go during an out of hours time. Directions to the room were very limited and we couldn't find the room at all. We ended up having to come back to the office and ask the lady to actually show us where we were to go as the rooms did not seem to be in sequence - only some of them. Parking the car was another drama - while there are spaces down the back of the complex for parking, you need to get there early to get your spot, otherwise you could miss out - as there is not much room for turning there.
I certainly wouldn't stay there again - it seemed like they did not rate maintenance at the place too highly at all. It certainly needs a major renovation project on it.
