“January 2012”

Apartment was good with a bit of everything you'd need to cook etc. Had a washer and dryer which came in handy due to two weeks of rain, TV etc. Few minutes walk to Oasis and Pacific Fair shopping centres, beaches, Jupiters casino, restuarants. Parakeets came to visit of morning. Small pool and heated spa. I wouldn't class it as a resort as its just a small complex of apartments to stay at and sleep but our room was very clean and the place is well maintained and well located. The bed was firm as was the furniture. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

“Lovely stay at Aruba Surf”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Very clean, well equipped accommodation. Minutes walk from everything; the beach, casino, shops, restaurants etc.Safe pool area and lovely well kept & maintained gardens. Would not hesitate to stay again. We were very well accommodated.

Room Tip: If you have kids, ask for a ground floor as there are stairs. Also, request a room next to the pool...

“A Bit Dated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

We were a little disappointed with our stay after having read such great reviews. The rooms are getting fairly old and dated, and as a result we had several maintenance issues during our stay. We also didn't think the cleanliness of the room was up to scratch, with some dirty dishes, and a visit from a family of cockroaches.

However on the plus side the grounds and pool area were fabulous and well-maintained, the beds were comfortable, and the rooms were spacious. Overall we felt it was decent value for money as it was significantly cheaper than other resorts in the area with similar ratings, but I probably won't return due to the issues we had.

Room Tip: No elevators so try to get a room on the ground floor!

“Our Xmas Holiday on the Coast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

My husband and I booked a week at the Aruba for an intended week of rest over the Christmas break. Although the title suggests 'Resort' the Aruba is not a resort. It is close to the major shopping centre and just a stone's throw from the beach, however the apartment (although reasonably clean) was a bit tired and worn out. The fridge was rusty and missing the handle - but it worked ok - the furniture was more like outdoor furniture - a bit flat and uncomfortable. However, for a week on the beach this place would be excellent as it was reasonably priced.

“A touch of the tropics in the hub of Broadbeach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

This hotel is located a street away from an amazing beach and views and close to (three streets away) a 'major' shopping centre and fancy little shops, perfect for retail therapy. The staff at the hotel, from maintenance and reception/management, were super friendly, helpful and efficient.
The room is quite large and the facilities included were more than relevant. I really had NO issue whatsoever. Enjoyed the spa, balcony, room and location- so much that I will be staying there again on my next holiday to the Gold Coast. Thank you Cath for the tours that were AWESOME!

Room Tip: I would have preferred rooms facing the spa though I realise they'd be louder, the views would b...
