The friendly staff and excellent service make this more like staying with friends than at a hotel. It is run by two sisters, Carmen and Doris and they will do everying they can to make your stay great. The garden is wonderful and all the rooms have a place to sit outside or you can sit on the breakfast terrace and look out over the bay. Our room also had a reasonable size fridge so we could buy our lunch at the local shop and eat it on the terrace. If tea and coffee facilities were available this hotel would be perfect!
While we were there one of the rooms was being converted into a gym so this is probably finished by now.
There is a boat or a bus to Dubrovnik (30mins) which is beautiful but rather expensive. Mlini itself is very small and quiet but there are lots of different types of restaurants to suit all tastes. The only thing I did not like about the small area around the harbour was the smell of tom cats - but we just didn't use the restaurants in that area. Away from the harbour it was fine. We would definately go again, and again, and again........
Carmen will arrange for pick up and drop off at the airport for you. The travel exchange told us to take Euros but these were only accepted in Dubrovnik where the cruise ships stop not in the villages and towns outside. Most places, including the hotel wanted cash payment and we didn't use our credit card once - not a problem so long as you are forewarned.
