Main issues I encountered:
1. Did not bring my priority club card - front desk claims they are unable to retrieve my record even based on my name, id number etc so I could not have any points credited
2. Booked a lake view room (and paid extra for it) - but was given a room facing the main road
3. Lodged a complaint and was offered the use of the club floor for drinks - only problem was we only had a few minutes to enjoy the priviledge before they stopped serving drinks so we rejected the offer
4. Was offered a fruit basket as a substitute - it never arrived
There were other small issues such as the restaurant personnel not informing us in advance that desserts required 30 minutes to prepare until after our meal, no 'thank you' during the check out or inquiry about the stay etc.
I had expected a higher standard of service considering that they are part of the Intercontinental Hotel Group but I was obviously wrong. Whilst I felt the rooms were fine, the poor standard of service ruined the whole experience for me and has left me with a very bad impression of the hotel and the management.
