Having visited the Spa in 2007 ,with our Spanish friends from Valladares,(Jose & Marisol) my wife and I really enjoyed the experience we had at this hotel.The Spa facilities really are top class , the Hotel is clean ,and the staff friendly and most helpful .Karen Jansen/Reception- was especially helpful in arranging a return visit in November 2010 for our friends above.

Nice, modern hotel with great rocky seaview (no beaches nearby). It's a good choice, if you don't care about the road in a slight distance to the hotel. There's traffic but not extreme, you can sleep with open window. The coastal road looks like the famous highway one in california. It's a remote location, but with the car not far from next town. The thalasso wellness is an important part of the hotel. Everything was working fine. Unfortunately the wellness has no open window. We were missing fresh air or a little sitting space outside. The outdoor pool is on a other level of the hotel, you have to take the lift and a walk through the hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. There's a wonderful terrasse, but for breakfast they did'nt allow outside, considering that we were there in october with fair weather. It feels like a new hotel in good shape. Perfect for an overnight stay.

I was on a tour of Bayona la Real on a Princess cruise a year and a half ago and the tour took us to Talaso Atlatico for a snack of tapas and wine. I was enthralled with the beauty there, and the food was quite good. When I recently was on another cruise in the same area I got off the ship with my friend from Lisbon and we drove to meet the ship in Vigo, so I had the chance to see the amazing countryside of northern Portugal and Spain. I knew I wanted to stay in that beautiful hotel overlooking the rocky coast of the ocean. The problem was that the website is only in Spanish, but my friend speaks Spanish so he was able to find a wonderful special price for the night and we enjoyed a beautiful room with a private balcony overlooking the ocean. We read reviews that weren't too good, but I had been there and my heart was set on staying there. The service was great, not many staff around, but everyone did their best to meet our every need. We would happily go there again if the opportunity ever arises again.

We were looking for some relax but had the "bad luck" that the hotel was hosting a wedding. The music was on until 4.30 am!!! and the hotel was not able of providing us another room or relocating us to another hotel. Of course, we could not have breakfast (included in price, and until 11 am) and we were not refunded.
I wonder why this hotel is a four starts hotel... and why they host weddings until late in the night, they are not a dico!
