Neilson delivers again- this was our first Turkey Neilson having done Lesbos and Halkidiki last year. Flew from Birmingham, flight times were awful but from Plymouth there is only really the choice of that or Gatwick (and I hate Gatwick as arrivals queues just too long!). Short transfer, well organised arriving in resort at 3am. Resort built on side of a hill so steep cobbles (easier in flat shoes...), we had a sea view room but the vegetation is so lush we could only glimpse sea from corner or balcony but the advantage was it was nearest to beach and restaurant, it was also on periphery of accommodation so more sense of space around. Rooms lovely, beds comfortable, fridge, air con. Charge for safe seems a bit tight, deposit for key would seem more reasonable maybe. Bathroom ok, good shower with choice of shower heads. Very clean.
Food was great, huge choice of salads everyday plus hot options. Breakfasts good, pancakes everyday really not good for waistline.... Turkish chefs very enthusiastic! Turkish waiting staff very helpful, restaurant clean. Would be nice if people picked up the food their kids dropped on the floor as don't think staff should have to do this. Option of social table, indoor seating or adults only areas. Water and tea/coffee provided with meals. We bought bottled water but didn't need as you can take your bottles from lunch and dinner with you afterwards.
Good offers in pleasant beach bar area, beery hour 6tl for large beer, and happy hour cocktails 2-4-1 meant cocktails worked out at £2.69 each!!!! (2.6tl to £1). Entertainment good especially the quiz and battle of bands nights, so well done Kit.
Spa excellent value with the strong pound to Turkish lira so well worth treating yourself. I had the lime and ginger salt scrub followed by an hours massage with the fabulous Jo and can't even begin to describe how good it was.
Fitness Jo runs good range of classes for all abilities, she looks like an innocent daisy but is a smiling assassin!!! Certainly put me through my paces but I still laughed all the way through (when I wasn't grunting!). Fit ball excellent fun.
Also worth a mention is the excellent waterski team led by Amy, with Jimbo, Smokie and Smiley. Although Jimbo needs to take his shirt off more often!!! Get the skiing in the morning if you can as conditions so much better especially if you're a beginner.
Sailing tuition excellent (thanks Irish and Sam). Also Dan and Arman for the Cat and SB3 rides. Didn't windsurf or tennis so can't comment on that. Bikey Jordan also a pleasure to go out with, Teos is VERY hilly!
Overall an excellent holiday again. Neilsons greatest asset is its staff, they are infectious in their enthusiasm and positivity and really should be applauded. Nothing is too much trouble. We met great people, ate great food, good accommodation, great service, and spent the whole week laughing. Again please, and soon!!!
