This is a small hotel from the beginning of the last century. I have been here before but it has been beautifully renovated in 2005-2006. Now it is small hidden gem with 11 or 12 very nicely decorated spacious rooms. Free wireless internet in the room. There is an excellent restaurant in the hotel, worthwhile a visit in itself. I enjoyed a good dinner there. Breakfast was served at the table and was also very good. Staff is extremely friendly and nice.

The hotel is not in the city centre, but in an area called Tuindorp, which was built in the twenties of the last century by the owners of Stork for their laborers. Now the whole area has been restored and is a much sought-after area to live.

Not exactly in the centre of Hengelo but in a charming residential area slightly to the south of the city. Located at the centre of a small 'garden village' built by a philanthropic industrialist in the early 20th century for labourers of the nearby Stork factories. A small tastefully furnished hotel: recently renovated (in 2005) but retains some nice original details. Decent sized rooms. Good shower. Friendly service. Dinner menu looked good (although I didn't have chance to sample it unfortunately). Quite extensive breakfast. Would welcome the chance to return!
