We checked in the hotel and went to a nice room overlooking the city. I rested on the bed before dinner and had a bite on my leg. We went to the hotel dining room and had an excellent dinner. In the middle of the night I had repeated bites on my leg. Pulling back the covers the bed was loaded with fleas. Needless to say no more sleep. In the morning when I talked to the Innkeeper and told him the story, his reply was that it was probably my fault. When I asked him if he allowed pets in the room he said yes, and that could have been the cause, I told him the room needed a thorough cleaning. The only thing he was interested in was getting paid the full bill for the room.
