this is my second review of this hotel as i have found the longer i have stayed here the more problems have arisen.i previously stayed here in december 2008 and found it to be above average.after spending another 3 weeks in this hotel i have found mounting problems.firstly,some of the staff have become less and less helpful as time has passed and also some of the staff have very little or no english,which for a supposedly 4 star hotel is unacceptable.the room i have at the moment could also do with a thorough cleaning as it smells stale and the bathroom badly needs a facelife.the breakfast leaves alot to be desired for anyone staying any longer than a couple of weeks.it is the same every single morning and can become very very boring.the wifi is also very temperamental.it stops working alot although the staff are very quick to get it fixed when told about it.the cleaning staff seem also to assume that because people from out company are here alot that they dont need to do as good a job cleaning the rooms.i used to get 4 new towels when the room was cleaned so i only needed to get the room cleaned every 2 days.now,for some reason i only get 2 towels.some of my colleagues have had items stolen from the rooms also and the cleaning staff have sometimes not locked room doors behind them but this doesnt matter as 2 of my colleagues found that when they accidentally swapped keys that they still opened each others doors!all i all i would say if you have to stay in la chaux de fonds i would try my hardest to find somewhere else if you are stayin for any longer then a couple of days and use the safe!
