We stayed for four nights at the Alpes Hotel in October, 2008. The hotel is conveniently located right across the street from the train station, and easy walking distance to the small downtown area. Our corner room on the second floor was large enough, and had a desk, sofa and coffee table, as well as two twin beds put together. I believe that other rooms are smaller, so you should ask what you are getting. The room and bathroom were clean and well maintained. There is a small elevator large enough for two people with luggage. The windows are well insulated against noise, and there is a metal screen that you can crank down over the windows at night for further noise/light elimination, so we were not bothered at all by noise or light from the train station. (Ask a staff member to show you how to roll down the screen). There is an independent restaurant located right next to the hotel, and several other restaurants within two blocks of the hotel. All in all, this is probably one of the best, if not the best, options if you are staying in Bulle.
