This hotel belies the rumour that every hotel in Lanzarote is for the mass tourism market. We were looking for something quiet but convenient for restaurants and a little light walking. This hotel is on the seafront with private exit on to the walk ways one way and to the town from the other. Rooms (no more than 14) and public areas pleasantly and traditionally furnished. A lovely courtyard for breakfast which is ample and is set out and topped up frequently by attentive but not intrusive staff. Plenty of quiet rocky terrace with loungers to sit out and read. It's location means you are within minutes of a selection of restaurants in the evenings and the 'promenade' means you can walk 5 miles in either direction. Booking a taxi to/from airport (max. 40 minutes) is easy and the hotel is happy to give guidelines on prices to be paid. Playa Blanca itself is a mass tourism resort but this is a little oasis...people were mystified as we disappeared from the prom through the security coded doors in the wall. Great place for R&R
