Strictly speaking it was my parents who stayed at this hotel, but they were so impressed they asked me to write on their behalf (as they are not computer literate) and I had told them about this site and other hotels around the world that I had commented on and how useful it was to other travellers.
This is the jist of it: This hotel is slap bang in the middle of the "west end" of san antonio. If falling out of bars and immediately into the front door of your hotel without wandering the unfamiliar streets searching for a hotel you cant even remember the name of. It was easy to find and easy to get to.
Obviously with the location of this hotel its more popular with the under 25s and party people in general ( my parents are 57 & 60) but they still loved every minute of it. My dad in particular loved the fact that the bar downstairs was 24hr! They loved the bar staff and got on first name terms with them all by the time that they left and eventhough they said it was understandably not the quietest hotel ever, it was suprisingly easy to sleep in dispite the party going on around them. They had room 505 which has a double bed in it (think the other rooms just have combinations of singles) and some amazing views across the beach and bay. This room also had a fridge, but I'm not sure if the other rooms did or not.
The hotel surrounded by tons of bars and restaurants, but evenso my dad became addicted to the cheese and ham toasties served at the hotel bar. Super cheap, but really good all the same.
I have seen the other review that said the lift didnt work, but by this summer it worked fine. didnt like more than 3 people being in it, but aside from that it went up everytime I wanted it to go up, and came down everytime too, so what more could ask for a lift?
all in all, they loved their experience in the hotel but would have liked there to have been a pool (which there is not) but the beach is less than 5 mins walk away (and could be seen from the balcony) so it wasnt that big a deal in the end.
Price wise it was really really cheap. The longer you stay, the cheaper it is per night and their stay was only €30 a night in the end. For peak season in Ibiza, I thought that was pretty good and seeing as I was paying and I searched around for them to stay somewhere I was happy that I found it as lesser hotels/hostels were double that in July and triple that in August!
They would definately book/stay again and when more friends come to visit I'm going to suggest they stay there too.
