What more can I say ?....this is the 2nd time I have stayed at this hostel, last time was in 2009 for 2 weeks and then this time I was there for another 2 weeks by myself.

The staff are very very friendly, the owner, Pilar actually knows me personally now and has helped me many times, yet again this year she helped me with forms, directions etc.
The hostel is more like a hotel and is by far the best hostel I have ever stayed in, cleaned everyday. This year I stayed in a one bedroomed room within a dorm with a shared shower room, the shower room as immaculate and with a great power shower.

One thing I like about the hostel is that it has prices for everyone from low low to higher (but even the higher is a bargain price). The location is also very good, next to tropical pool (used by workers and trendy travellers), the bank, the west end (party hotspot lol) and next door has a great cafe with good prices, also Kanya beach is 5mins walk away (which is the best beach in san antonio).

The rooms are very clean as I said before and you also get provided with thick covers just in case you need them. Clean, quiet and friendly, what more could you want ?.

I think another concern for many travellers is security, at night in peak season there is 24 hr security and Ava the cleaner is very trustworthy, shes more than helpful.

I will without a doubt be going back to this place sooner or later....HOPEFULLY SOONER!!! thanks for a great time!!

BTW - Ive given 5 stars for swimming pool as TROPICAL Pool is only 1min walk from the place.

Basic room at a decent hostal. we stayed in the apartments because there was an elevator (we had tons of luggage) as the regular and cheaper rooms didn't have a lift. That's the only reason we upgraded otherwise the regular rooms are adequate but the apartment had a fridge and kitchenete so this is ideal for a bigger group. No pool but you can go to the pool at the _____ Hotel (name escapes me) next around the corner. The rooms are very basic and very clean!! Nothing fancy, not a huge property but a little more than a hostal situation in that you have a private bathroom, kitchenette, balcony, etc. We had a balcony so we could watch the action. The hostal is located ideally close to everything (bus lines, beach, the heart of san antonio) but away from the ruckus in case you want to actually SLEEP which was great after an evening out in Eveissa Town!!

The staff is professional, friendly, very helpful and spoke fluent english!!!. A good place and value for your money if you're just spending a few days in San Antonio. Nothing luxurious but basic, good clean room for you to crash and change in.

NO AIR CONDITIONING but you do get a fan. You have to request an iron and ironing board and don't remember if there was a hair dryer or not so bring your own just in case.
