Dont stay there, I don't recommend it, really.............

My friend and i stayed at the Hostal Royal in July 2007, we booked a last minute 3 night stay via an internet website. The Hostal is located abut 2 streets away from the West End of San Antonio, its about 10 mins walk to the main beach, Es Paradis, Bar M and Eden in one direction, and 10 mins to Cafe Mambo/Cafe Del Mar in the other direction. Our room was quite spacious, it had a TV and fridge, as well as air conditioning. Admitedly the air con wasnt very good, but we were there in July and it wasnt overwhelmingly hot in the room. The bathroom was also quite big, and both the room and bathroom were clean. The towels didnt get changed while we were there but then you can cope with that for 3 nights! Apparently some of the other rooms are not as big as the room we had, but for £12 per night, i think even if the room was a bit smaller it would have been good value for money. Although you are in close proximity to the clubs and bars, we didnt get woken up all through the night with noise, we were clubbing ourselves, getting in around 6am, and we were able to get a good sleep without being bothered too much by people in the hostal, or outside. It is a hostal, so dont expect it to have the facilities of a hotel, there are no added extras and it doesnt have a pool, but then as i said, we paid £12 per night, and you get what you pay for! Overall, i think if you are looking for a place to crash in San An, thats close to everything, then this is a great place to stay.
