“Party Hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2011

Azuline Mar Amantis I & II is a great all inclusive hotel for a party holiday! Me & 4 girls spent our summer holiday here & we had a blast! Hotel was all inclusive which was great, food was repetative as expected but really good. Drinks were strong and were served until 12 midnight!
Mar Amantis II is the british side & is much louder ( haha ). Pool is large and there was alot of young people playing games and having a drink throughout the day. Plenty of sunbeds but theres large steps all around the pool which we prefered to lie on to keep cool. For peace & quiet building 1 has a small pool overlooking the harbour onto San Antonio. Thats also where breakfast lunch & dinner is served each day. You can also have lunch in building II at the bar where they serve pizza, chips etc. The road between the two buildings can hardly even be called a road, more a small path so don't let this put you off booking. Slightly further out San Antonio than I have stayed before but it was soo easy to get about. The little boat takes your straight across the harbour from the hotel for 3euros but stops about 12 so you can either get a taxi or walk back. We walked back alot as you pass alot of bars like linekers & burger king. Only took about 25 minutes & when your drunk its just a good laugh. Just dont walk back alone as there is some weird people hang about at night. All in all the holiday was fab, would only recommend to young people and groups who don't mind noise. Families & older couples stay away! Hope this helps. Any questions, message me :)

“take no notice !!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

We stayed there august this year, i also read reviews on here and was not sure what to expect.FOOD = some food was familiar some was different BUT YOUR IN A DIFFERENT COUNTRY !! and you have to try new things !! ROOM = basic but very clean, when we went ,there was two nights about 6 am young lads came back from a good night out ( jealous) and had a bit shout ,didnt last long but im sure my kidds made enough noise during the day to be squits. if you go when loads of younger people go it will be louder its not the hotels fault its the chance you take everywere ! ive nothing to gain from this review and i would go again ,even the lucky lucky men were polite, i went with my wife and two sons. TAKE NO NOTICE !!

“A few bad points to mark any higher higher!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

I stayed at Mar Amantis 2 from 9th-16th October 2011.
First and foremost, if you are disabled and/or wheelchair bound. Do not bother to read on. This is not the hotel or area for you.

AREA. Nicely positioned for the ferry boat to cross the bay. Handy for supermarkets and bars which are a short way along the road. However the area, both buildings, roads and pavements are either tired, worn or in need of considerable uplift. Pavements in particular very uneven. Many premises boarded up or partially built. I would imagine that in peak season, those bars that still are open will cause a lot of noise.

HOTEL. Very clean and tidy as are the bedrooms. if as others have mentioned, a little basic. The attention to the bedroom cleaning would not disgrace a much higher rated hotel i.e. shower curtains changed almost daily. The staff were very friendly and efficient (except for one, but more of that later)
The reception area and all floors are covered by cctv. I was boarded in the Mar Amantis 2 and only went to the Amantis one for food.
I mentioned earlier that not the place for the disabled. I cannot be certain but the lifts that I had to use just about accommodated a child's push chair and one adult. It would certainly not take a invalid chair. A smaller point about the lift is that it did not allow a great deal of time before closing often catching the person leaving/entering a fairly heavy blow. Clearly attention is needed here, particularly for a small child.
ENVIRONMENT if you are looking for peace and quite, this is not the place for you. If you like to stay out most of the night and return to your room and put your television on full blast or have a full scale argument with who ever you are with, you will be at home.
One expects noise from the nightly entertainment, even if it is poor, as this usually ends just after 11pm. However children & adults using the corridors as rallying points does leave a little bit to be desired.
Now to the poor member of staff. My son, who was in the next room to me, had his small child with him. When by 12 midnight the one night, a youth of about 14 had been making noise outside his room for some time. When asked to stop being told about the young child, he did comply. Later that same night he had to be asked to move away again.

The following night this youth and several of his friends were playing in the reception area throwing drinks over each other and stopping the lift from going to the upper floors. All this under the direct observation of a young female receptionist.
When my son had retired to bed with his child they were awoken by their door being banged and the youths running away. This happened several times. Eventually another member of the group went to reception and registered a complaint. Looking at the cctv. The receptionist stated that she could see no one in the hallway.
When told the youths could be in trouble over their actions she was more concerned over their welfare than that of the other guests.
I took the matter up with her and pointed out her lack of action when the youths had been playing in and around the lift and reception area. She said she had seen nothing.
Not wanting to waste my time on her any further I took the matter up with the senior receptionist the following day. She was excellent. She viewed cctv. identified the actions we had described and brought it to the notice of the youths parents, who later had the good grace to apologise to my son. The value of cctv proved on this issue.
FOOD the rating of the food in my estimation was adaquate to good. It was all inclusive and it should be said, something for everyone. I must point out that for the majority of my stay the hotel was far from full. I do not think that I would like to have dined there under full conditions.
POOL area. Very clean nice pool formation and grassed area. Sadly the sunbeds were nearly all broken in some manner or other, usually the bed part. Again if the hotel had been nearer capacity!!!!!

OVERVIEW not an hotel under the conditions that I stayed in for the silver surfer! I would not go back, which is a shame when I consider that majority of the staff are some of the friendliest that I have encountered

Room Tip: Probably best to request one over looking side street. But noise from outside bars could still cause...

stayed here from 5th october 2011 for a week ,hotel is clean ,staff are really friendly and helpfull ,rooms are small there where 3 of us in one room which was quite a squeze but there where some family`s of 4 which where all placed in the same room, dont how they managed as all the beds are next to each other with no space to get around ,these rooms should only have 2 beds max its crazy , also you only get sky news on the tv i no you dont come on hols to watch tv but if you have a day where its overcast and theres nothing to do they could of had a movie chanel like most hotels ,the snax bar was good for inbetween meals ,the main resturant was hit and miss ,the desserts where awfull same thing every night but just a diferent flavour , i have had alot better all inclusive in other hotels of this rating ,there was plenty of choice with drinks you name it they had it ,as it was coming to the end of the season they closed mar amantis 1 so you could not use the bar or pool in this hotel only the resturant was open ,all drinks where seved in the mar amantis 2 ,there was no entertainment at all for the whole week ,there was no atmosphere at all in this hotel it was quite boring so we ventured down the road to the PINK PANTHER BAR ,great bar ,with a great owner ,the pool area was quite large in the mar amantis 2 ,but the pools looked dirty and the majority of sun beds where broke,i would not stay here again due to the lack of entertainment and the food ,i would recomend the hawaii hotel if your looking for a good hotel with good food and its central .

“not as good as we expected..”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2011

had a really nice greeting when we arrived at mar amantis 2, hotel was very clean. however all 4 of us paid around £750 each for two weeks all inclusive and were very dissapointed with the room size. we were given a two bedroomed room with four single beds in it. was a really tight squeeze but no other rooms were available. the wardrobe was tiny and we had nowhere to put our suitcases as they did not fit under the beds. we even had to move some of the furniture e.g a chair out onto the balcony to make more room. we had also requested a pool view room and did not get this as we were on the first floor and facing the road. as we had all saved up for a full year we were really disapointed that we were spending two weeks in a cramped room.

the dining room which is across the road in mar amantis 1 is really nice and clean. there is a variety of all foods and fresh meat cooked every lunch and dinner time and somedays they themed some of the food (e.g chinese, mexican). however it did become repetitive although nice, and we found ourselves really bloated from the food everyday. the restaurant was only open three times a day which was sometimes annoying. The snack bar in mar amantis 2 had a menu of chips, burgers, chicken nuggets, onion rings and pizza slices. all very cheap food and unhealthy, wouldn't harm for them to offer salads or jacket potatoes in an all inclusive resort?

The drinks were all given in a small plastic 'party' cup and you could only get two at a time. they didnt really have much variety and the spirits like vodka was unbearable as they filled the glass 3 quarters full of vodka, which was the cheapest vodka you could have got in spain. was good for soft drinks during the day except you couldn't get bottled water which was a rip off. the bar staff were all friendly though and worked really hard. always a long queue at the bar and at 11 all drinks stopped even if you were still in the queue they wouldnt serve you when the bell rang.

cleaners came every day and done a good job with fresh towels, but a packet of face wipes, 10 euros and a ibiza rocks baby bib all went missing on three seperate days of the cleaners coming into our rooms.

most mornings at around 6-7am we were always awakened by someone coming in our room speaking, then walking back out. we found this really strange so we told reception and they said it must have been security staff finding out who was making too much noise, but every morning surely??

we wont be staying again as we found the price we paid was far too much for what we ended up with.
