“Great hotel with exceptional service, however one problem spoilt it for us”

Just returned after a great stay at the Orosol. Having worked in hotels before I was really impressed by the level of service on the desk – the staff and one receptionist in particular are always ready to help and impart their knowledge on what to do and where to go in Ibiza. The service there really is special. The rooms are nice too and very reasonably priced.

Being my first time to Ibiza I wanted to choose a hotel that was safe and where we had no worries for our belongings.

I really hate to say it but having left our room for a couple of hours, we returned to find our remaining cash of about €110 missing from our room, where I had left it still in the euro wallet, under a pile of clothes in the wardrobe. My iphone next to it had not been taken. The maids had been in the room and there was a neighbour at the end of our corridor. I hadn’t taken a safety deposit box due to the great reviews on Tripadvisor and the fact that a safety deposit box cost €3 a day – I’d trusted these reviews, and the hotel. I also felt really uncomfortable complaining to the reception as they are close knit staff too, so I came away feeling worse.

I’d recommend the hotel to provide free safety deposit boxes in the future if your cash is stolen from your locked room. It was a real shame that this happened.

“Got to be one of San Antonio's best places to stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2011

This hotel close to San Antonio's bus depot is probably one of the best I've stayed in, and I've stayed in San An every year for the past 5 years. Upon arrival the hotel staff were polite, helpful and welcoming. There were 9 of us staying for 4 nights, & we were all given rooms close to each other to make our stay more enjoyable. The rooms were of a high standard - fridges in each of them, with a balcony overlooking the hills of San Antonio to the East, and the Bay to the South. The hotel doesnt have its own pool on the premises, but the beach is only 5 minutes walk away, and there's a pool that hotel guests can use at Hotel Florencio only a few minutes walk away. I booked on a B&B status ... but only managed to make it down once! Although the breakfast I did have was basic, but nice. The hotel's location is great - close enough to walk to the West End in 10 minutes, Sunset strip in 10-15. And really close to many bars, restaurants and the cab rank. Brilliant!

Room Tip: Try and get a room thats higher up the building - great views!

“Really great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

Me and my friends came to Ibiza unplanned and left with a lot of resources. The staff helped us with locations, tickets to clubs and car rental. You could feel it was a family business and everyone was glad to help. The rooms were clean and breakfast was good for the price we paid.
The best thing was we got upgraded to the room with terrace with an amazing view. If I would ever come back I would choose this hotel again. The only down side is Sant Antoni is full quite tourist focused with many Brits and not so many locals (same goes for Ibiza town). Best advice if you are staying a bit longer then 2 days in Ibiza is to rent a car and go around the coast to different beaches. The Island has so much more to offer then just clubbing, this you can also do at home.

Room Tip: Floors on the 7th have bigger balcony and better views. We would have been 3 people and got a room w...

“Excellent :)”

We stayed at Hotel Orosol last week. The reception staff (Martin and the Ladies) were beyond helpful. They were very welcoming, fun and informative. The rooms were clean and exceptional size - compared to UK ones - with huge balcony. Our friends requested a twin room and they got a 2 bedroom suite, how cool is that :) Breakfast was good, too. We will definitely come back and recommend this hotel to everyone, however if you would come with children this location might be a little too noisy.
Thank you Hotel Orosol, we are very pleased :)

“Great for a weekend!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2011

Stayed at the Orosol hotel with my girlfriend and 3 friends for a weekend at the end of August. We arrived at 1am and were greeted by the night receptionist.6 people in front of us were all checked in no problem, however we were told that one of our rooms had a problem with it and 3 people would have to share a quadruple room or 1 person would have to stay in another hotel!!! We agreed, expecting some refund which never came. Me and my girlfriend went to our double room(which was tiny) only to find that the aircon did not work,so i went back down to reception to see why as the hotel advertises aircon in each room. The man on reception told me that because we booked with travel republic we had to pay 8 euros a day for aircon but this was wrong as our friends had booked through them aswell and their aircon was on.We thought it best to leave it till the morning to sort it out.The lady on reception in the morning was helpful and apologetic she turned on the aircon straight away.I still have no idea why we did not have it the night before. The hotel itself is okay and in a good location close to the beach and the westend is a 5 minute walk away. The rooms were a little dated but clean. We were there for three nights and the rooms were cleaned every day.The pool is a short walk away and is okay if you like a lively pool with tunes banging tunes on all day which we did. All in all a good stay after the initial problems not sure if i would stay there again though.

Room Tip: 105 small double with view of mexican resteraunt
