Hotel Tropical is a very basic budget hotel. The staff at the reception is warm and would help with all kinds of questions like which disco to go to which bus to take, etc. the rooms were small over looking the street but veryclean. AC works well .. . Yes the hotel is very strict in terms of excessive noise being created late in night however this did not create much of a problem as whole night we would be out of the hotel at some disco or the other and return only by 6 - 7am

If you are looking for a budget hotel to sleep during the day and party at nite tropical is a good bet, however if you have a little more money to spend and are looking for a bit of comfort and luxury would recomend some other hotel which has a good view of the sea

Staff - helpful and courteous
Room - basic but functional
Cleaners - daily and very tolerant
Dining - basic buffet 8 'til 10 / adequate

This year I went for my first experience of Ibiza, and booked a 18-30's holiday of which we were given the Hotel Tropical. The Staff came accross friendly but it wasnt long before things swiftly turned around! If your young and want to have fun past 12 at night then do-not bother with this hotel! They have a security guard who is some muscle ex police guy and hates foreign men. He actually assaulted me one night for asking him to leave my room after he forced his way in because he heard us chatting to friends on the balcony (honestly it was minimun noise) The review from the hotel below obviously makes me laugh, they had so many complaints it was unbeleivable and they are obviously trying to justify their actions! On numerous times we saw young people being chucked into the street by hotel management in the middle of the night and not allowed to return until 10am the next morning. On one occasion they threw a scottish girl out on her own with no shoes on. The Security guard is aparently an ex-policeman and when somebody hit him last year he had the whole floor raided for drugs! This hotel is great for familys or older people but not for youngsters partying as they say in their own review! What gets me is why do they take on Club 18-30 and Ibiza Bootcamp Partys as pakages! Be Aware also that 18-30's and Bootcamp will not help you with another hotel if you are kicked out!

Stayed In the hotel tropical for 2 weeks in July and it was amazing! I have been to Ibiza a few times now with 10-15 of my friends and had some bad experiences with hotels/hostals in the area.. This hotel lets you do what you want (within reason) they have no problem with you partying in your rooms, having people over from other hotels, drinking at the pool, having your music on or basically having fun.. They know what Ibiza is about!!!! All the rooms have fans & air con & fridge, the food is great as well if you are staying bb or hb. I recommend anyone wants a party, hassle free hotel in a fantastic location 5 mins walk from the westend. I will defo be back next year!
