“not bad for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011

booked a last minute deal, we went the 2nd to 9th October - week before it closed for the season - checked out trip advisor and was a little concerned re some of the reviews -
I must say we - there were five of us - never had any problems with with the reception, bar or waiting staff, but then as a rule if you smile, most people smile back,
we also did not see any security guard - i did look - as one night there were quite a few of us coming back late from the smugglers (the pub opposite), and I thought this is it, but the reception staff just smiled and said good night
the rooms, we had two, were quite large, and were kept clean and tidy by the maids, also we had fresh towels each day, we did have a view of the car park and the building site opposite and if we had paid some of the original prices we were quoted to stay at this hotel I might not have have been so happy, the food, well the week we were there seemed to be repetitive but perhaps that was me and after all it was not a five star and it was the end of the season
that being said we had a great time no problems with getting sun loungers - maybe because the hotel got emptier as the week wore on,
went out a couple nights also tried some of the local restaurants which were quite good value for money
would i go again, probably not - but that is no reflection on the hotel

“late holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

Booked a late holiday to Ibiza. Stayed at Rosamar hotel, San Antonio Bay.
Being late season, hotel wasn't too busy. Lots of room around pool and no fighting for sun beds. Hotel was spotlessly clean with welcoming and helpful staff. Rooms were more than adequate and maid service was good. Not much entertainment but plenty locally.
Would visit again.

Room Tip: all much the same

“Goood allround familly holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

We are just back from the Rosamar staying there 6th-13th october. We were a familly of 6 with four adults and two kids. first impressions were it was very clean. We were a little dimayed when we checked in as my hubby and I and two kids were on 3rd floor and parents were on ground.reception said not possible to move together as hotel was full (which was a lie) The rooms were lovely and spacious and the pool view was lovely but the derelict building directly across the road is a definate eye sore!!!!Although if on 3rd floor can still see a little of San Antonio bay.

Our first visit to the resturant was a definate shock as the food choice was the worst ive ever came across in all my years of travelling abroad! They didnt seem to care as the hotel was closing the following week it was just all thrown together every day' if you like chips and salad great!!! The soup was also not bad. Every morning there were no china cups for tea and coffee you had to use plastic ones this did not please alot of people and the resturant staff just didnt care' alot of people just bought there own to make a point.

Overall we had a great time, the drinks at the bar were good with all the usual aswell as Cava and Bailey's! The bar staff and animation team were great working constantly to please everone.

The pool area is lovely and clean but beware pool freezing!!! No problems getting sun loungers but in mid july Aug this would be a nightmare as pool area very small considering amount of appartments there is.

Hope this is helpful as I always check Tripadvisor before i make a holiday decision myself.

We had a very restful happy familly holiday here an would return again to san Antonio.

Room Tip: Pool view lovely ,although a little noisy at times

“Lovely hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

My friend and I have just returned from a week at the Rosamar. We were very happy with the hotel. The food was always good quality and nicely cooked. Salads were always plentiful and fresh and the drinks were good quality. We heard lots of people complain about the food and we were astonished. We'd like to know what they eat at home if it's so much better. The only criticism we had was a minor point. We would have like to have butter as we are not margarine lovers.

We also found the staff very friendly and reception staff were particularly helpful. We had a slight problem with our room which was put right immediately. We'd booked a twin room and were given a double but when we did get our room we were very happy with it. It was very spacious and spotlessly clean, as was the whole hotel. Also when we asked for a light bulb to be replaced and one of the wardrobe doors to be freed as it was sticking, this was done when we went back to the room. We were impressed with the quick service.

It's a real shame for the hotel that the building work opposite is half finished and detracts from the view, but this is something they can't do anything about and in no way spoilt our holiday.

Special thanks to the reception manager Rafael who was most helpful. When we asked him to book us a taxi to the airport he took us there himself. Thanks Rafael.

We would definitely go back to the Rosamar if we ever go back to San Antonio Bay. It was very good value for money which people should consider when complaining. If you want 5 star you have to pay for this.

Thanks everyone for a very enjoyable holiday.
