“not a bad hotel”

just returned from this hotel arrived at night was upgraded to poolside bungalow. This was handy as no stairs or lift to use it was straight on to pool area this area was disapointing it looked very nice but sun loungers to close and had to be out super early to find one without a towel on it. My wife and I decided to buy two inflatables which we took daily to beach only one minute walk. Several nights we went to dinner only to be told that all tables were occupied and to return later this was annoying as lots of four seated tables only had one or two people sitting we would rather share a table than be turned away time and again. The food was very good with a varied menu daily very good and friendly staff with 24 hour reception special mention to Roberto who was very pleasant and helpful. We would probably return to this hotel as it is in the perfect location

“High expectations met”

Just returned from a weeks holiday at the Palmyra and what a good week it was!
I spend quite a lot of time finding a nice hotel within easy walking distance from the city centre but still quiet enough to be guaranteed a solid rest at night. The Palmyra absolutely ticks the boxes. The hotel specifically does not cater for children and seems to attract all type of couples between late twenties and early seventies, which provides a pleasant atmosphere.
Reception staff is more businesslike than welcoming and provided information upon arrival(about internet, safe, towel service, credit facilities) left something to be desired, but checkin was efficient and fast enough. Rooms with seaview are large and efficient with adequate bathrooms and contrary to some comments absolutely up to the promised 4 stars.
We were on halfboard and the food as was to be expected was nice with more than enough choice and while there are no culinary highlights overall quality is very good. Staff in the restaurant and specifically Raoul at the bar is very nice and helpful.
The pool area is an interesting phenomenon: a large and relaxing pool, a nice garden with lots of truly beautiful palms and around the pool, inches apart from each other, lots and lots of sunbeds. However, when you want to claim a bed you really, even end september, have to put your towel on a bed before 8.30, otherwise you're confined to the shadow. And the hotel should really install a policy against those who claim a bed at 8 o'clock, arrive at 11, go away at 12 leaving their towels on the beds and return at 5 to lie in the sun for another hour, all the time claiming the beds which are in short supply. Then again, you can always go to one of the gorgeous beaches Ibiza has to offer, the busstop is in front of the hotel. Entertainment at the hotel is, errr, not quite to our taste, but probably ok enough for most. We tend to look for entertainment outside the hotel anyway.
The center of Sant Antoni is about a 300m stroll along the beautiful boulevard and a gorgeous sunset at Cafe del Mar of Cafe Mambo is also on easy walking distance. The West End is funny to walk around at night, but mainly seems to cater for those who see holiday as a way to further damage their already limited braincapacity by gulping down alcohol by the gallon.

Back to the hotel: we were quite happy there and would recommend it absolutely for a nice week in the sun. It is an excellent starting point for enjoying the island and everything it has to offer. When on Ibiza, we would probably be back.

Room Tip: Take a seaview room, not much more expensive but with gorgeous views and very quiet

“Great Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

I work in travel and was offered this hotel very cheap through a travel staff website, so couldn't really go with high expectations as had a cheap deal. However the hotel was fab, check in was quick, we arrived late and they had kept food aside for us. Our room overlooked the road which wasn't a problem (I couldn't compain as paid a cheap price) as you couldn't hear anything once the door was shut and rooms on the road side had the sun on the balcony until about 2pm! Food was fantastic buffet style which was never messy and had loads of options, staff were great. If you want al la carte then this would not suit you. The location is great you leave the back of the hotel straight onto the promenade 1 minute walk and you are at Linekars/Ithaca/Ibiza Rocks bars. The beach was lovely but the sunbeds and parasols bit of a rip off considering we were staying in the hotel. When we were there, there were allot of Germans which meant no sunbeds by the pool. We didn't get to sit by the pool once as towels were placed there very early and this was not monitered by any staff. The pool area is too small but not all bad as you are on the beach but it is nice to have the option. Evening entertainment was relaxed and ok but we didn't see all shows as we went out most of the time. Previous comments people moaned about having to pay a deposit to have the remote, its no big deal you get the deposit back when you leave, the same with beach towels. Reception staff were helpful. For me the only negative is the pool side issue. Overall a fab hotel for families friends couples singles. I certainly will be going back next year for another mini break.I would definitely upgrade next time to the seaview rooms for the sunset and to chill out on balcony.

Room Tip: Seaview to relax on your balcony watching the amazing sunsets

Room Tip: get to sunbeds early

From arrival to departure loved this hotel. The room was gorgous with a brilliant view over the beach & pool on the 4th floor. Food was varied and of v good quality with show cooking on every evening. Pool area was very clean with great comfortable sunloungers. We went all inclusive drinks at 15.50e p/p good value for drinks can be expensive in some bars nearby. All in all i would highly recommend this hotel and already pricing it to go back.
