“Lovely Hotel”

Just returned from the Marvel, We booked our transfer through Travel Republic with Viajes Urbis/Holiday Taxis, the transfer went smoothly they were very professional so will use them again. We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by Jill, she's a lovely lady who was pleasant and helpful. The room was better than expected having read some of the poor reviews they got, it was clean, well equipt and comfortable, we had to go to Jill and ask for a kettle and extra pillows which she provided instantly, that's good service. The food was only warm but no trouble to warm it in the microwave, the fresh cooked fish and the pasta dishes were really good, we did find the menu to be lacking in fresh veg and too many chips, hubby had the meat dishes and didn't, think much of them said the meat was tough. the sweets were ok too.we have had better food at other hotels but we have also had worse . We stayed in for the A I drinks which were reasonable some cocktails i;d never heard of but still drank them. There was one night when there was a professional singer/guitar player who was really good.the rest of the time we were entertained by Mirian with her versions of bingo and quiz, that was strange to say the least she was off in a world of her own most of the time, it would take about an hour to play one game of bingo, she was crazy but very funny. Carlos the bar manager was very helpful and a good worker a really nice bloke, the same can;t be said for the chap who served in the pool bar, not a happy chappie.

We stayed from 8th-15th oct end of season, most nights after the quiz we went out to the old tavern for some proper entertainment, the singer/kareoke Jackie was excellent at what she did, we would go back to Ibiza just to visit her place again.

All in all we had a very good break with exceptional weather and we met some really nice people. Will return again someday

“Great end of season holiday”

Went with my wife and 11 yo daughter and we had a fantastic all inclusive holiday. The hotel was really good and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The food was terrific with a really wide selection even though there were fewer and fewer guests as the week went on. We got home on the 15th and the hotel was shut from the 16th. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We met really nice people as well, there was a great atmosphere among staff and guests. The rooms were perfectly reasonable and the holiday was excellent value. The weather was remarkable for this time of year which obviously helped. Overall we'd highly recommend the Marvell.

(from 11 yo daughter)
The staff were nice and there was lots of activities to do. The bar was good aswell. I liked the snack bar in between 5 o clock and 7 o clock in the evening.

“Nice hotel food was disgusting”

The rooms where clean but where bit on the small side. Ok for two 3 would be a bit of a squeeze. The rooms where clean view from the balcony was looking over the sea . The maids cleaned the rooms and changed the towels everyday .

The food - Breakfast was actually ok ! They had bacon , eggs , toast etc
I am a fusy eater however the food they had there wasnt a large variety and it was bit cold. ( theres microwave ) Even my friends who werent as fussy as me found the found not very Edible However this could be the time of year we went . YOU STILL PAY FOR GOOD FOOD THOUGH!!!

The pool was fantastic very big plenty of sunbeds to go around. Theres a tennish court , pool bar , pool tables and Table tennis.

Staff where friendly part from the one Spanish Lady who worked their didnt have a clue at all when we arrived we asked her about how we use the AI facilities but she didnt have a clue what we were going on about untill 10 mins later she gave us our bands.

We ate out for 10 euro each for the four of us at the old tavern . The food is amazing there and Moby Dick has the best breakfast.

I would recommend San Antonio Bay because i had a fab time there and its my 3rd time back at the bay .

For night life go to San Antonio just about 5-10 euros in a taxi the best Club is Soul city . Has the best music .

Room Tip: always ask for a pool view its quieter as your not facing on to the strip.

“Definitely undecided?!.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2011

Booked into the hotel for one week on the 17th September. First tip is to ask for a pool view!, if you ask for just a sea veiw then that is what you will get, but you will also overlook the 5-a-side pitch and dirt track, the pool view rooms have a much better view...and try to ignore the binmen that arrive at 4.30 on the dot every morning.

The food was ok but simple little things like not having pre warmed plates means that your food went cold within a very short time (i may sound like a snob, but a love to cook and this is just basics!, plus when was the last time you went to a restaurant and were served your food on cold plates?.

They have no entertainment room at night to watch acts in, you have to take plastic chairs and a table from a stack and find a spot on the terrace. There were, on most nights, people sitting in the reception area with there drinks because there was no where else to sit.

The location is a little way out if its the clubbing scene you are looking for with only a handful of bars and 5 or 6 shops to browse in at night, but for 1.50 euros the water taxi will take you into the main town.

The pool area is massive and there is always room to find available sunbeds which is a big redeeming feature for the hotel.

I dont think the hotel provides any entertainment in the daytime unless you call playing one dance album continuously throughout the day?.

The allinclusive drinks were nice but thats something that you'd have to try very hard to get wrong.

This ranting list sounds like my girlfriend and i had a pants time but we didnt!, far from it!, it was very sunny!, Ibiza old town was lovely!, drinking while watching the magical sunset was amazing!, eating out in various restaurants, trying the many bars in San Antonio, we had a really good time because we kept ourselves entertained as we always do, but if you are the kind of people who soley rely on a hotel and its surroundings to entertain you and keep you happy then this is not the hotel or area to do that.......but this is just my honest, (probably worthless) opinion.

Enjoy anyway!.

“Pool bar fresh coffee and snacks not inclusive unless from despensers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

I booked a week all inclusive at this hotel the food was ok, repetitive but cold they do provide a microwave to head meals up in dinneing room ? and all coffee and tea served from drink dispensers that was disgusting if you wanted coffee or snacks from bar you had to pay for it 1.80 euros for coffee the morning snacks was left over from breakfast, after been out for several hours, snacks at pool bar had to be paid for, and not included. the afternoon snacks served between 5 and 7pm dinner served at 7pm hotel very clean but rooms bit dated and tv stops working and have to pay for a remote control at reception , about 7pm not just ours but common with other guests. having been al inclusive at other hotels where fresh snacks and coffee are included . I wouldn't book this hotel as they don't say in the exclusion of coffee and snacks and drinks by dispenser machine. I would not call this all inclusive or value for money . VERY NOISY AT NIGHT FROM OPPOSITE BARS.

Room Tip: Front very noisy sea view quieter, no ramp to pool for wheelchair users,
