Very pleasant hotel for a 2star, actually more like a 3star based on our experiences in Portugal. A decent value because the buffet breakfast was excellent.

Vilazul combines the perfect location with an affordable quality you don't easily get. Happily situated right in the middle of town, it is very easy to reach and neighbours two lovely bakeries which, for those with a sweet tooth, can be very handy! Despite not being able to give us seeviews, lovely Beatriz at reception made sure we stayed in the only bedroom with a balcony with very pleasant views. Cleanliness was on the spot and breakfast was served in the dinning room. I thoroughly recommend this place and might stay there again on our next visit to Ericeira. I also recommend the restaurant "Gafanhoto" for cheap good local food.

The hotel is a lovely family run hotel and Restaurant located in the heart of Ericeira. It is great value for money with the only drawback being there is no swimming pool. There is one nearby but it is expensive. There is also the sea but in late septmber it is cold as it is the atlantic.
The room while dated was very comfortable with a nice view of the ocean.
You are located in the heart of Ericeira just off the main shopping street and across the road is the street with the restaurants on it.

The best thing about this hotel: Location, staff and the rooftop bar.
Least favourite: None that i can think of.

We took a 3 night break here in October.The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and showed a personal interest in us.The hotel itself was a beautiful , very clean house with many personal touches making it feel homely .Our room was bright and well equipped with views over the lovely wild Atlantic. The town appeared to retain its Portuguese charm and was not obviously dependant on tourism. There were plenty of good bars and restuareants catering for all needs but we chose to eat in the Hotel restaurant because it offered good food, value and exceptional service.To sum up, the owners have set a high standard which is reflected throughout the hotel and due to their personal attention ,we feel that not only have we had a wonderful holiday experience but have come away feeling we have made new friends and we are already planning to return.
