There is construction directly beneath you that begins each weekday at 7 AM. It is an awful pounding that never stops and that you cannot escape anywhere in the B&B. They are pounding stone chisels into the bottom side of the floor over which you were sleeping. After two awful days of this we told the owner we were leaving early. He told me no one else ever complained (lie #1) and also said it was not his problem - of course he didn't have to sleep there! He came to my room and told he would refund my money and take the loss (2nd liie) Once our bags were packed and we were at the door he refused to give us anything and said we must not have understood him (lie #3) When you consider that of the three rooms, one has no water view, and another has a small window that affords a view only when standing directly in front of it - it's just not worth it given the situation and the attitude! We repeatedly sent emails asking if we could have the "suite" with the real view - all those emails were ignored! Monopoli is a pretty place who's residents are all trying to.cash in on the newly arrived tourist dollars.
You will be referred to restaurants that pay for the referrals and provide dinner accordingly when you get there. The greed demonstrated by Bellavista is part of how a tourist trap develops.
Besides every other guest telling us they were unhappy about the "surprise", the B&B where we stayed further inland had numerous guests tell them simiilar stories !

The past two weeks we took a visit to Puglia which is well worth a visit. Of the many hotels and B&B’s we visited, was Bella Vista by far our best stay. Roberto, the young owner, speaks very good English and runs this B&B with his beautiful and cheerful girlfriend Giusy. They are very spontaneous, happy and make your stay a real treat. Where do you find a place like this?
We had a suite # 1 and this room, is really more beautiful than you can dream. From your balcony, bed and bath, you have a great sea view, and you are in the middle of the historic centre of Monopoli, where many nice squares are to eat at night.
The roof terrace (also for breakfast) the great room, but above all the hospitality and service make you never want to leave.

Yes, the place is super, we stayed a few days in june last year, Roberto is very nice, advised the best restaurants, beaches etc. Also served good breakfast on the roof , what a charming place, good room, bath, airco, free wifi, nice sunbeds, even some drinks in fridge, bottle of wine from the region. We loved it so much that we hope to return someday - also the food in Puglia is unbelievable! Ciao Roberto, greetings from Amsterdam.

My husband and I booked on line with Roberto, the proprietor , what a fabulous spot right in the old wall of the city overlooking the Adriatic, with the beach down the block. We had the suite with the private balcony, luxurious. Opens to common kithenette so we were able to fix drinks and coffe on our own. The breakfasts we elegant served on the roof garden. Roberto is just charming and speaks English. He gave us great suggestions for sightseeing and dining in and around Monopoli. We found the town great location to take day trips to Matera, Ostuni, Alberobello, etc.. We highly recommend this B&B if you are planning a trip to Puglia.
