Excellent location, a 5 minute's walk from the beach and the port where all restaurants are. The owner and her staff were excellent, very friendly , helpful and welcoming. If this hotel would have minibars in the rooms a better TV satellite system, bathrobes in the rooms and the continental breakfast included in the price, I would give it a 5 point mark.

With the other 2 negative reviews on this site (for dubious reasons), I though I'd step up and even the score a bit. This hotel, although admittedly not a 4-star property, is certainly worthy of 3-stars. The proprietors were terrific, the breakfasts were great, the rooms (although a tad small) were clean and well-appointed. I like a bigger bathroom but even that was okay.

The location, for anyone interested in exploring the South of France, is excellent. The port-town of Sanary-Sur-Mer is beautiful ... with great cafe's, bars, and restaurants, all on the Mediterranean. It's less than an hour from the beatiful town and beaches of St. Tropez, 90 minutes from Cannes and Mougins, and less than 2 hours from Monaco, Nice, and Antibes. And you're just a stone's throw from Toulon (some good restaurants there) and the Bandol rose wine region.

This was a safe, clean, and beautiful hotel in an absolutley great part of the South of France. We recommend it for anyone interested in exploring this region. Plus, you can book this hotel using Best Western Gold Crown Club points.

Extremely overpriced (we payed 150 E/night on the weekend, + 15E each for breakfast, more on that below). The hotel was clean and we were given a large quiet room (king bed + child’s bed), however the place lacked any sort of charm and it was far from a 4 star accommodation. The pool was tiny, vinyl lined and in the basement. The “exercise room” consisted of a rusting stationary bike next to said pool. It was not very close to the beach and not in a convenient or pretty section of town. In the US this would have been a Motel 6 (economy chain.)

All lights are motion-sensored so you walk into a hall way that is dark and then the lights turn on a second later, which was very disconcerting. The premises were gated, there are video camera’s everywhere and all exterior doors are bolted shut. While this made the place seem secure, it also gave the place a prison-like atmosphere and made me wonder about safety of the neighborhood. To get to your room you had to go through a complicated set of 2 different elevators.

The continental breakfast was terrible and way overpriced. It consisted of literally stale croissant, boxed cereal, and browning fruit salad. Even though it was 15E, you still had to pay 2E extra for juice. Our 4 year old was charged full price. None of these prices were listed anywhere and we had a rude surprise on our bill.

I would strongly recommend avoiding this establishment. It was overpriced, and does not deserve a 4 star rating. On this trip we stayed in 2 star hotels that were much less expensive, nicer, and more charming. This hotel is very generic. If you can get a very good deal on it, or prefer a newer clean generic type accommodation over something that has more character, than it may work for you, but otherwise I would look elsewhere.

We made our reservation 3-months in advance and received an excellent rate on Expedia. When we arrived that busy holiday long weekend, the proprietor came out and tried hard to get rid of us explaining that she did not have room for us at her hotel due to a wedding party that we suspect had paid a much higher room rate than what we had booked.

She convinced us that another hotel nearby would work just as well, but failed to mention that the alternative was not even in the same town as we were vacationing in and ranked 2-stars less than what we expected. If it were not for a kind desk clerk at another hotel, my family (including my infant son) would have been without a room for the night.

I had booked the Best Western Soleil Et Jardin thinking I would be guaranteed a room because it was part of a strong franchise and the hotel would stand behind the franchise name. Unfortunately, it was not the case with this unscrupulous property.
