Tucked away past the abattoir and next to the electricity works is this hotel. We arrived in the afternoon, having rung the same day to book a room, and received a friendly welcome.
The hotel has a smallish swimming-pool which seems not to be open to non-residents (and the hotel's location, several km out of Nimes, would not encourage non-resident visitors anyway). It has free, working, wifi. It has a medium-sized, air-conditioned dining room and is light and airy. All of the staff whom we saw were pleasant.
We had dinner at the hotel both nights: solid, uninspired cooking that was a little overpriced at e19 (e14 would have been fairer).
The rooms are not large and come equipped with a fan. We needed it.
The main problem was the noise. We stayed two nights and on each night in the small hours were disturbed by people arriving noisily. The hotel is plainly used as a staging-post by people on longer journeys and our stay suffered because of this. We moved into the centre of Nimes and stayed at two other hotels, the Royal and L'Orangerie.
