“If you want to feel at home with the best service, go to Praiagogi”

Praiagogi is an unique experience. Before getting there, we read all the reviews at Trip Advisor and, after we arrived, it was even better than we thought.
Fernanda and Sandrijn, the owners, know how to make each guest feel at home since the moment you step in Pousada Praiagogi.
The food prepared by Sandrijn is amazing, by far the best in Maragogi. Also we recommend for you to try all the tipical flavors of natural juices they have.
Perfect time and weather for relaxing, reading a book, listening to lounge music, or even to the sound of the birds and the ocean.
The room is very charmy and comfortable, you can get some dvds and books from their "library".
We spent 7 great nights, and we could stay much more, what means there is no way for you to get bored.
We also recommend the massage, wich makes you feel even more relaxed.
About payment, they accept credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard and Diners.
As we liked so much, we are planning to come back soon.

“incredible”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2010

It was incredible. There were 10 days of magic. The place...the beach....the food....the life was more than perfect in the period which we stayed with Fernanda and Sandrinj. We recommend this hotel so much.

“More than the expected”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2010

Before our trip, my wife and me did a quick research to find a place to stay at Maragogi. The first results were below our expectations. We weren't looking for luxury (regular kind of) or some like that in a region where we can keep everything simple and pleasant and leave the nature does de rest. We just wanted something different. We took another look at Google and then we found Pousada Praiagogi's website. The place looked to be exactly what we are looking for.
When we got in, the owners Sandrijn and Fernanda, since the first moments, showed us a different way to stay at the beach. They set up a place where we get a mix of charm, peace, good food and an impressive exclusivity. Everything in the 5 days we stayed there was turning around us. They really know how to make we feel special and at the same time give us the privacy that we need for staying together. The food is really, really delicious. They mixed up regional specialties with international influences and created unique and different options that nobody can find in another place near there. We decided to have all the meals at Praiagogi. Every day was a new and tasteful surprise!
The room is very clean and comfortable and has a lot of pillows (we love that) in the bed. AC system also makes a difference in hot days.
They gave us precious tips about the attractions and arranged everything for us. Our only worry was about enjoying it!
A pleasant beach along the day, a great dinner and a relaxing end of night at an open-air lounge, looking to the stars and listening our iPod playlists. What else can we expect? Just one more thing: we checked-in as guests and checked-out as friends.
What a lovely trip!

“Credit cards”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2010

They do not take credit cards here. Fine, Please put that on your website, explain to people when they reserve, tell people when they get there. Do never, Say, 'We told you on the phone', 'Its on the Website', i'ts on the email we sent you'. All blatant lies and made me look incredibly stupid infront of the friends I was travelling with. Two nights accomadation close to 1000 USD for me and my 2 friends. YOu have to be stupid to carry around that amount of money in Brazil. A real shame and made check out embarrassing, and left us all with a bad taste in our mouths. . I also found a hard sell on extras, Food Wine etc to be too much. Young Owners who obviously know alot about Hotel Management but need to work on their communication. Good food, the beach isn't not amazing for swimming as you have to wade out a km to get a decent depth.
The Prices are elevated for the rooms, the little touches they add are appealing but 187 Reals for a single room is too much. Breakfast was good. No internet or even a signal so dont expect to be connected.

“I'll be back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 June 2009

I've stayed in several pousadas throughout Brazil and found this one to have been my best experience so far. It offers extraordinary value for the money. Sandrijn and Fernanda, the owners and hosts, are outstanding cooks, and I highly recommend dinner at the pousada, which is a great value at around US$20 for three courses. The best dish in my opinion is the whitefish with a sort of caramelized nut-based crust, complemented with white wine and topped off with homemade tropical-fruit ice cream. Breakfast, served any time you wish, is a huge spread of homemade breads and cakes along with fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, and juices. Be sure to request the pancakes, which are delicious. Sandrijn and Fernanda are very attentive but also discreet, striking just the right balance between offering guest a high level of service and plenty of privacy and peace. The grounds are immaculately groomed. Lounging with wine and a beanbag under the stars in the garden area at night is especially pleasurable. The only drawback is the lack of broadband internet access and the brownish waters (due to sediment from a nearby stream that empties into the ocean). However, there are pristine beaches and natural pools close by. Also, the bathrooms could be upgraded to match the rest of the property's specialness but are completely adequate as they are. The owners speak fluent English, Dutch, and Portuguese (and perhaps more!)
