The Apart/Hotel is a little remote, and as we approached it we were a little unsure. However, we felt pleased as the resort came into view. It is still very new (opened late '05), but is maturing well, and the golf course looks fabulous already! (I am not a golfer mind!). We were welcomed by the reception staff in English, and offered a drink whilst we filled in forms etc. - Good first impressions. Our Studio room was in Block 5 - which was at the top of a fairly steady incline, although disabled could probably manage without too much trouble, and once at the top, everything is level. The studio was a good size, lovely bathroom with seperate shower cubicle, and bath. The kitchen was small but good, so ideal for tea/coffee making, as we were half board. Feather duvets on the beds were nice, and memory foam mattress'!? (Think they must take a bit of getting used to). The resort offers beautiful free form pool with spa jets and bubbles - which are on all day, and really lovely, loads of sun beds, free pool towels, so don't bother to take any. As well as being right nex to a lovely beach, although it is volcanic sand. Pool bar - menu a bit basic, but fine for a mid-day snack and drinks, although a bit limiting. There is a fish restaurant, although this was closed (April, perhaps too early in season). An Italian restaurant, which was very good - but with only one waiter, we did wait a while for service. A coffee bar/Ice cream parlour - nice. A hire centre, for bikes, scooters, clubs for crazy golf course, tennis raquets, etc. This was very good, as most things were free for an hour, or 3Euro - so didn't break the bank. There is a fully equipped gym - again fab, with lots of classes throughout the week. A scuba diving centre - although closed during our stay. A games room which was very popular with the teenage guests and accompanied kids. Pool tables dotted about. A supermarket - although very well stocked, the prices marked were not in some cases, what came up on the computerised till - and the young 'lady' serving was very rude. (Really this was my only negative). So, beware! Possibly, they are updating last seasons stock? I would give the benefit of the doubt here, as it's only a minor thing. I also saw lots of photos on a board, from party nights in the 'club' - kids over 14 I think, and adults - but with an 11 year old, no use to us. (There was a kids club - although we didn't use it, and a kids pool with a big flume/slide open a couple of hours a day). The buffet restaurant, food was plentiful, and very good. Lots of choice, you would never be hungry here! Lots of fresh fish, good selection of meats, beef, lamb, chicken. Lovely salad bar, lots of fruits, and desserts. The place is immaculately clean, and the majority of the staff were very friendly. The guests were predominantly German, as it seems no UK operators cover this particular hotel, but it did have a 'select' feel to it - which was nice. I would reccommend (as an ex-travel agent), that this hotel complex would appeal to guests who are happy to lie in the sun, have a dip, and basically chill out. It was good for children too, but If you like to be on the go, and get out and about, although there are lots of activities, you will definately need a car.
