5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

We cannot thank you enough Zach and staff for all your help on our recent visit!!! 39 very enthusiastic women graced your doors and we could not have been made more welcome!! The service and standard of food was second to none and there was nothing you or your staff could not do to help us!! Thanks again for everything and we will all no doubt be back (seperately this time for your sake i hope).. from 39 very happy customers.. a big up also to our attentive bar tender!!

“Really Homely Stay!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

My boyfriend and I booked Brogans for a weekend as we were attending a wedding in a near by hotel. On arrival we were greeted by a gentleman who checked us in and showed us to our room, he was very friendly and efficient even though he was busy serving other customers.

Our room was located out the back of the guesthouse through the courtyard. As we went into our room we found it really warm and cosy not to mention immaculate! It had a double bed, small wash room, iron, tv, tea and coffee! What more could you want?

Downstairs is a restaurant which looks amazing but we didn't eat there. We did however venture into the front pub area which had a really warm atmosphere about it. There was an open fire and the crowd really gathered in as the evening went on.

The next morning (after sleeping in) we were about an hour late for breakfast, however another lovely gentleman went out of his way for us and got us two full irish breakfasts, which were absolutely delicious!

I can not fault this guesthouse. The staff were amazing, the food was wonderful and the location was right in the heart of the town. (A little town full of culture)

The ONLY reservation I would have is that there is no parking to the front of the guesthouse, however the kind gentleman gave us a little map to direct us around the back where there is a car park not too far away. In saying this, we just parked on the front street right outside the door. Parking was not an issue for us.

To round it off, 50 euro was an absolute bargin for this place and I will def be back with the children next time!!

“You get what you pay for!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

The service at reception wasn't at all good. After waiting a few minutes we went into the bar to ask the bar man to contact the receptionist as we wanted to book in. He actually came out from the bar and booked us in. Was attending a wedding near by so didn't actually spend too long at this guest house. We were given a room at the front of the property unfortunately so we were woken up at 7.30 by the continuous noise of traffic. While the room was small I have to say it & the bathroom were immaculately clean. We got breakfast
the next morning. Had difficulty finding the restaurant as you have to go back out to the court yard and take an seperate entrance into it. I have to say the breakfast was not at all good. The sausages were deep fat fried and horrible. Again we were served by the same bar man who dealt with us the previous day. He seems to be the only one working there.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear of the property.
