My boyfriend and I booked Brogans for a weekend as we were attending a wedding in a near by hotel. On arrival we were greeted by a gentleman who checked us in and showed us to our room, he was very friendly and efficient even though he was busy serving other customers.
Our room was located out the back of the guesthouse through the courtyard. As we went into our room we found it really warm and cosy not to mention immaculate! It had a double bed, small wash room, iron, tv, tea and coffee! What more could you want?
Downstairs is a restaurant which looks amazing but we didn't eat there. We did however venture into the front pub area which had a really warm atmosphere about it. There was an open fire and the crowd really gathered in as the evening went on.
The next morning (after sleeping in) we were about an hour late for breakfast, however another lovely gentleman went out of his way for us and got us two full irish breakfasts, which were absolutely delicious!
I can not fault this guesthouse. The staff were amazing, the food was wonderful and the location was right in the heart of the town. (A little town full of culture)
The ONLY reservation I would have is that there is no parking to the front of the guesthouse, however the kind gentleman gave us a little map to direct us around the back where there is a car park not too far away. In saying this, we just parked on the front street right outside the door. Parking was not an issue for us.
To round it off, 50 euro was an absolute bargin for this place and I will def be back with the children next time!!
