Stayed here a couple of nights. Room was ok, but lots of little things let it down- sink tap lever missing, only 1 flat pillow each, only one bedside table for double bed, bracket for soap dispenser left on wall, rawl plug holes in walls, noise from outside when bar closes(could do with secondary glasing) etc.

Didnt try the food but heard it was good. Steak on a stone? Not if you want it rare as it carries on cooking unless you eat fast.

Could be so much better with a little TLC and updating.

Upon arrival we checked in straight away, the receptionist did not seem that he wanted to be there, he was very unfriendly and had no manners, we payed there and then for 3 nights and we did not even get a thank you from him. He told us our rooms were located outside through the courtyard and when we went outside we had to look for our rooms because there are several doors there! Our toilet would not flush, our radiator would not work and we complained about it the first night but nothing was done so we complained again the following morning and it was fixed by lunchtime. Our room keys needed to be recharged daily, our room was on the ground floor and if someone in the room above us walked on their floor our ceiling light would bang therefore we didn't get much sleep!!! No internet connection in rooms even though in the guestbook in our room it says internet is in every room(why lie?)!! The worst accommodation we have stayed in and we certainly will never return!! 3 star? more like a 1 star but on a positive note the food was lovely!!

went here for dinner in mid July. they had an early bird for under €20. really good choice and value but I wanted a particular steak and so we went off the full menu. I had chicken satay to start really good. Then had to have a steak as its a steakhouse! went with steak on the stone as per numerous recommendations, was not dissapointed! great friendly service and good wine list. too full for dessert. great place for food. the bar was buzzing that eve, lots of steak on stone from what I saw walking through.

the worst hotel we stayed at and we stayed at many B&Bs and hotels in ireland but this one was straight out of a bad movie
