We' ve booked our trip as last minute, so the price was pretty low.
The hotel itself is smalk, but you get everything you need for an easy holiday.
Only problem was the bad english of the stuff and related to that, the bed knowledge if you asked them about anything, therefor the owner if the greek restaurant on the other side of the road was very friendly.
Other problems were, that the breakfast was quite easy and that towels only get changed every three days, without mentioning it somewhere.
The bus to Malia or Iraklio is running in fron of the hotel, pretty cheap!
The best greek restaurant in town is on the other end of Kokini on the right side, kind of a little wine garden where you can get a real look into the kitchen.
At the little beach across the road you can rent sun -lies(?) and umbrelkas for 5€ per pair and day or put your own towels.
We also rented an ATV in Town and drove all over the eastern island, it cost 30€ a day and was perfect, related to the cost of a guided bus tour or a car, min 90€ per day.
