Very charming country style hotel in small village near Lake Constance (Bodensee). Amazing variety of superbly prepared menu items in restaurant, along with good wine and excellent beer. Breakfast buffet (included with room) has fresh bread, eggs, cheese, meats, fruit and the rest of the standard breakfast items, in a bright and cheerful room adjoining the restaurant.
Area has good walking and cycling options, with wildlife. Lake is in walkable distance, and there is a bus service. Lakeside is a bit touristy, so hotel village is a relief.
Family management make every effort to be hospitable and accommodating. Staff are friendly and cheerful. Facilities are spotlessly clean. Beds comfortable. Quiet area.
There are many historic destinations in this area, so location would be optimal for day trips to churches, castles, and archeological sites, or wine tours in season.
