This hotel looked really nice in the travel agent's brochure, but this was one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. The building and interior decorating are obviously left over from 1980's-era communism. The corridors are dirty and ugly, the elevators are so loud that the "clunk" keeps you awake all night, and the furniture is cheap and old. The bathroom is so small that you can barely take a shower without getting the whole room wet.
The food at the half-board restaurant is about as good as my college dining hall was. It is institutional cooking at its worst. I could barely find anything to eat for breakfast, and refused to eat dinner there after the first night. The hotel also has an a la carte restaurant where you can use the credit from your half-board dinner, which is OK and has a nice view of the harbor. Apparently if you want to sit near the edge of the patio, you have to have a reservation. There is also a very casual pizzeria which is OK, but the best food was definitely in town and not at the hotel. If you are going to stay here, plan on eating out often.
The pool and "beach" areas are kind of dirty, and the service was pretty unfriendly. The resort was mostly populated with Italians, who could be pretty loud at the beach.
On the positive side, Veli Losinj itself is charming, and I saw an octopus snorkelling off of the beach.
